Interesting thread. Everything I've heard about Invicta is either its obnoxious or a knockoff of somebody else's design. I recently fell down the watch rabbit hole myself but my tastes have drifted towards a more traditional field style watch. I'm not nearly extroverted enough to pull off some of whats been brought up here.
Having said that I plan on buying a G-Steel at some point.
And that Seiko Samurai with the orange dial is pretty sweet too.
And ditto on the leather strap, my beater Timex I bought on cyber monday is probably going on a nylon strap asap.
EDIT: I thought I had seen this thread before. Turns out its berking old.
This is a three year old thread. What popped it back into the front page?
Probably a canoe, a whole bunch of old threads have been resurrected for no currently apparent reason.
If you like huge, ridiculous, and gaudy, also check out the Diesel brand. I saw a whole lineup of them in a store last year that cracked me up.

I’ve looked at Invicta again because they have a Micky Mouse dive watch.
In reply to Brian :
So does Seiko but they're harder to find.
Despite not liking Gaudi styling or cartoonishly excessive dimensions, I wound up choosing this Invicta as my daily.
It’s a 6620 II and I’ve worn it since March 2017 without any issues. There’s no shortage of negative reviews (mostly about the hands falling off) but I only paid ~$80 and I’m coming up on two years of trouble free service so I’m satisfied with mine.
Timex. The one I bought 10 years ago is still running on the same battery, 3rd watch band.
I am tough on watches. I am usually wearing one when I do mechanic or yard work at the house.
Hammering seems to be bad for watches other than Timex.
Timex is the only kind I have bought that holds up. The $100 to $200 dollar ones I have purchased end up breaking.
I f I ever buy myself something really nice like a Tag Heuer I would probably put it into a display case so I could admire it but never actually wear it.
I've been wearing an Invicta automatic divers watch for 8 or 9 years now. It's kind of a Rolex Submariner clone, not big or gaudy. I've worn it every day, regardless of what I'm doing. I have no complaints and never expected it to last this long.
