I can't wait!
i never played the old games, but i was a fan of the cartoon they had around '95 and the toys that went with it. Time to dig up those old robots
Sweet. I have 2 problems. The laptop probably won't be able to handle it, and I no longer have the uber joystick of doom that I had for MW4.

LOL I was just thinking the other day, while the newer clan design mechs are cool and offer a buttload of customization, you could do the same thing with some of the older designs....ie a Warhammer with er ppc's, streak SRM's, etc. I loved the ability to flip the arms, and have a full rear firing arc....MUHAHAHAHAHA anyway...my .02

From what I understand, the harmony gold lawsuit thing has finally been settled, so we'll see the "classic" designs in this game.
I can't wait to drive a Marauder again. It's been too long!

For the laptop I can't help you, but for the ultimate Uber Joystick of Doom, get an Xbox 360 wireless controller for PC ($$ but worth it) and a Chatpad. The Chatpad won't work out of the box but you can use some mapping software to make it work like a full keyboard.
That's what I'm getting for my badass gaming PC...it will be awesome

+1 to that, between the Marauder's firepower, and the Locust's maneverability (close range with machine guns blasting into a knee joint works wonders) it has been way too long.
Whoa. They haven't even set a budget for the game yet. That thing is AT LEAST 2 years out.
That teaser vid looks pretty mean. I'd love to play something like that on the Xbox.
Oh man I remember playing the old Mech Warrior games on my PC, I had the full on Flight joystick and weapons control system. Not the cheesy looking ones but the ones designed after like F-15 controls made playing that game so much fun. I remember we had a cyber cafe that had full immersion capsule with complete movement and that was the game on it.

I had read about those kinds of places, I wasn't so lucky living out in the middle of nowhere to find a place like that. I'm SOOOOO jealous. LOL
In reply to GameboyRMH:
I checked again and it is also coming out for the 360, so that might just work for me. Then I wouldn't need to go buy a Chatpad.
Excellent! Mechwarrior (1989) is still one of the best games ever. I remember copying it from my friend back in the day, but it was copy protected so he wrote down a few codes for me. I had to reboot it over and over again until one of the codes I had came up...
I downloaded it for free the other night, now I'm trying to get it to work on DOSBox.

Yeah the place was less than 2 miles from my high school and served GREAT coffee and even had Jolt, plus all kinds off food. Back 3/4s of the shop was the game rooms. There were the immersion capsules and various game stations. You could go in and play against your friends or play solo.
I remember playing battle-tech, then mech warroir as a table top game and the Mech warroir games on X box wich futher conclued what my next system will be....
BTW I still have alot of my battle tech stuff and some of my Mech warroir as well

They're about 35 years away from the year when this game is set.

Dammit, I wasn't paying attention.

Oh yeah, there was a chain of those, that I always used to go to. I forget the name of them. Those places were tons of fun. They also had a racing game, where you were racing down mining tunnels in hover carts; made more complicated by dodging obstacles and trying to not get blown up by your opponents.
