I'm undoubtedly one of the purveyors of oddball vehicles on the forum, and i can say with certainty that no, indeed I don't want one.

Came in here to say I was a boonie bug man myself. Totally not disappointed I was beaten to it

There was one in the original total recall.

In the mid to late 80's there was one for sale for 4 years on the Oregon coast in Florence. I wanted that thing so bad.

Boonie Bug was based on a Type II chassis, not a bug. Can you imagine how many heads would explode if you took a 21 window bus today and cut it into a Boonie Bug?

The plans for building the Boonie Bug were in an issue of Popular Science when I was a kid. I must have re-read that article a hundred times.

If you already have a jetpack and a monkey, the Brubaker is the next logical addition.

Have any of yall actually driven any of these? The Brubaker seems like it would be weird sitting so far back from the windshield!

I haven't nominated anything for "Say What?!" lately, but this is certainly worthy. I LOL'd and got busted for surfing at work. Totally worth it.

I don't know why but I think any of those Brubaker's should be towing a vintage fiberglass boat from the sixties

No for real I'm digging the Sportster, and I know a guy with a VW pan sitting in his yard being used as a table. It's a good thing I've already filled my dumb project plate.
