My wife made good time to an appointment this morning, and my son and I were making fun and saying "Mom's Buick Turbo Power!!!" She drives a Buick Encore with a 1.4L Turbo and its just so darn small and cute. But then I remembered, Buick Turbo Power is far from a joke.
I think I am going to stick a GNX badge on the back, just for fun.
I have been eyeing THIS THING because of the GNX-y front end. You are not helping...
I have ideas about force-fed GM G bodies that I think might be appropriate for "Dear Penthouse..."

You need that for a Gambler rally.

Ok---- I'll be that guy. The car pictured isn't a GNX, it's a GN. Still bitchin, still Turbo Buick goodness, but not a GNX. I only point this out as there seems to be a ton of folks out there that think a GN is a GNX, which obviously isn't the case. (not that the OP is one of those folks) I think it's mostly younger folks who weren't around when these cars were new. BTW, the very last GNX recently sold for $200K, very nice GNs can still be had for $20-$30K.
Although when I think Turbo Buick---- I think of their Indycar engines! I'm with the OP though.....as I want to put a Hellcat badge on my Dodge minivan!
I'd also like to see a 3.8 Turbo in that hearse. Call it the GN Reaper?
honestly, an LS swap would be better for that big hearse than the turbo 3.8. they move a 3600 pound G body around alright, but would be a total slug in a 5000 pound casket hauler..

OK, I'll the that guy. The photo references the sentence preceding it, "Buick Turbo Power is far from a joke". It is in fact a perfect illustration of the power of a Buick Turbo. The GNX reference had nothing to do with the photo and in no way does the post indicate that a GNX was pictured. Even if you felt that the last sentence about a GNX badge referred to the photo, if I were indicating that it was a GNX, why would I want to put a badge on something that already had it?
I was there man. I remember the silver Turbo Buick's that the Pittsburgh Police had.
I remember when the GN came out because my buddy Karl and I used to do neutral-drops in his mother's beige Regal pretending that it was a GN.
And I remember a GNX new at my local Buick Dealer that had a rope around it. I know a GNX has a GNX on the grille and vents on the fenders and black lace wheels...among other changes. I know a GNX from a GN.
I also know that they are valuable and not many people post photos of massive burnouts in a GNX.
Somebody hasn't had his coffee this morning.
Ummm..... I said "I only point this out as there seems to be a ton of folks out there that think a GN is a GNX, which obviously isn't the case. (not that the OP is one of those folks)"
E36 M3--- I was just hoping he'd post more pics of these cool cars--- and my evil plan worked! Thanks for the Blue T-Type! I freeking love those things.
I also remember these as a teen---- my buddy Steve was bummed to find you couldn't mount 6x9 speakers on the back shelf, as it's too narrow. (and no---he didn't have a GN, a T-Type, or a GNX--- he had a pedestrian 6cyl Regal.) Still cool though
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's spelled "Buick Turbo Powah!"

they make adapters to mount 6X9's in them now.. i have a set in my 84 T Type..
my only complaint about the car is the way the steering column sticks out slightly sideways, something they did in every G body for some reason that can only be explained by the car being designed at the height of the disco age..
Hey, my race car is powered by a stock (except for tune and intercooler) Turbocharged Buick motor and it's ffaaaaaasssssstttt!
