I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but it drives me nuts. It is much easier to get pictures from my phone to the board by just posting from my phone. However, when in portrait mode, on an Android Galaxy S22 Ultra, the menu bar gets split into 2 lines. When I try to click on the photo button, it changes to the numbered bullet point button. You have to rotate the phone to landscape to get it to work. If the layout was different, or the way the line breaks was different, it would be so much easier.
It looks like this, but when you press the photo icon...
You get this, a numbered bullet. If you let go to press the top line, it goes back to the image above.
Lemme pile on...
I hate how if you rotate your phone, it goes back to the top of the thread. Ugh.

iPhone using Safari does not seem to have this issue. Currently running iOS 17.4, but I never noticed the problem before, either.
Hmmm, I don’t get that with my iPhone, but we’ll investigate.
Thanks.
I dislike the screen resize when I go to upload a photo and then it says that enlarged size.
It looks like our forum doesn't play nice with some devices. My Pixel 7 splits it into two rows, but not as severely as your Samsung, and I don't have the same issue.
At any rate, we'll work with the developers for a solution.
My apologies, too, because I bet that's frustrating as hell.

Samsung model blahblahblah
Weirdly, it only seems to do it when going from horizontal to vertical. Not the other way.
Thank you for sharing this issue! I'll be adding this to our to-do list. We want to make sure our forums remain friendly for mobile devices and that does seem to be a pain. Stay tuned.

A word of caution, if you fix this you may have to deal with a lot more stupid posts and photos from me. Like this picture of me listening to an instructor when I took my Lambo to a track day.
I love stock photos, driving suit and hiking boots? Really?
On second thought ... just joking. Personally, I love photos! Bring them on!
We'll get this into the queue. Just to be up front, this isn't atop the list (fighting spam is, unfortunately), but it's close.
We were commenting on the two row picture thing this weekend at dyintorace's house. Seems it's an Android thing and then it depends on the resolution of the screen.
I don't get it on my iPhone, but I did just find out that I can go to my picture gallery, copy a picture and paste it onto the text screen. It might solve your problem for the time being.

Ooo. Interesting. Can you select multiple things and get it to drop a bunch of pics at once?
It is an issue on a Samsung S23. The workaround doesn't bother me too much though, so I never brought it up.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Yes. That's how I usually post photos.

I have issues uploading pics with my iPhone SE too. Not sure if we are describing the same problem...
I use my phone in portrait mode most of the time. When I select a photo to upload, the "OK" button is off the screen. I have to scroll down to it. Once I hit the button, it resizes and moves the button off screen again. It doesn't actually start uploading until I scroll down again and hit the "OK" button a 2nd time.
It doesn't do this in landscape mode. Press the "OK" button just once and it uploads. So I'm constantly switching back and forth from portrait to landscape.
The also doesn't seem to be any such thing as uploading more than one picture at a time.

Oh, that copy and paste method is FAR superior to the upload button! 😊
While we're on the topic, am I doing something wrong that I can select more than one pic at a time to upload, and they all get a "loading" bar that goes to 100%, but then only one pic actually goes into the post?
Have a Google Pixel phone of some description.
As someone who wouldn't think of doing the internet on a "mobile device" aka "phone," I would ask our hosts to expend their resources on more pressing matters, at least until which time we have brought about world peace and ended third world poverty and hunger.

That's the way it works on an iPhone, also. And, frankly, on the desktop browser version too, as far as I'm aware.
