Bought a little project guitar tube amp, Kalamazoo Model 2. I need to replace some caps and move around some things to aleviate some hum. I might put in some mod switches for cathode bypass cap and NFB, since neither are present. I might replace the speaker... I'll probably end up flipping it and I think I already found a buyer.
Edit: Here's a thread on a different forum about the rehabilitation of the little guy - http://diyaudioprojects.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3902&p=31281#p31281

Hey! That was my car. No, seriously - it had an LT1 and a stick.

I learned in this '86 Civic wagon... 12V carby with a choke and a noodly shift linkage rod that would rust through regularly and leave me without 2nd, 4th, or reverse. (Seriously that happened, like, three times while I owned that thing.)
Technically it was my second car, but I never had the first one (also manual) roadworthy/registered. I think I did cruise the VW around the block a couple times, but not in real traffic.

And now for something completely different.
I learned on a Silver non turbo one of these:
I learned in one of these....only it wasn't this nice or fast.
This is high on my 'More Money Than Brains" list.

I'm posting this in the Hotlinks thread because it doesn't deserve it's own thread in the classifieds but does deserve some attention. Standard issue 'not mine'...yada-yada:

For sale is a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am SE with factory 2.0 Turbo engine and 5 speed manual Transmission. The car runs nice and shifts great. Motor was rebuilt and new clutch installed within the last 15,000 miles. Car is very clean for it's age. 151,000 miles on the odometer
This Grand Am has power windows. power locks, and power truck release which all work great. Leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are in great shape. The factory Delco sound system with equalizer works very nicely and sounds great.
The Negative: Leaks some oil which appears to be the oil pan gasket, rear tires are due for replacement, cruise control does not work, the factory air conditioning has been removed, and the headliner is pinned up.
Asking $1700 If you would like to see more pictures, I can email them to you.
I learned how to drive a manual transmission on a dirt bike. I then used the basics I learned on that in the car.
There was a bit of a learning curve of 3-4 attempts to learn the difference between launching a dirt bike and gently getting a car going.

Just kidding. I actually like spam...
I built airplane models of the B17, the P38, and the Corsair. I got 3 out of 8 of them.
Only plane that I have hours in is a Cessna 152. I still remember the tail number after 15 years... N555UF
Very similar paint scheme as this one:

My first driveway attempts at a manual were in a Camry very much like this...
Though the car I really learned stick on was almost exactly like this (1987 Camry)...
Of course, I never learned heel-toe until the Miata...

I watched a guy roll one of those at an autocross.
I learned to drive stick on one of these. Same color, just pretend the whole cab was shifted about 4" to the driver's side and the passenger door was inoperable. My brother turned in front of traffic and totalled it. It was parked in front of our house for a while (brother lost his license for this one) so my dad decided that was a good truck to teach me on. I mean, it wasn't like I was could hurt it more
