The March name is originally an acronym of the team principals names. In the very beginning they released a whole lot of very optomistic press material long before they had a car to show, the type 701 F1 car. One of the English publications (Motoring News?) took the acronym and ran with it. The 701 was seriously late....Orange car is 761 in the doctored ice tire pic. 761 0r possibly 771 in my pics from Mt Tremblant.
