At the upper levels I would never call it, but that is the trend USAH is taking it. I won't get into the politics with that particular ruling, as I disagree with it - you should be allowed to play the body and not the puck, as long as the check is clean, although this particular check I don't like seeing the stick up that high.
Being a ref, I'm sure you know how fast that puck can be moving, and in a still image we don't see what was happening a second before. Something tells me they were a bit tangled up before they ran into the boards- one stick is a bit high, the other one looks like it's in the 5 hole.
I just grabbed the first image that allowed me to get a URL to hotlink that wasn't blatant cross checking. Oddly enough, clean checks don't seem to make it into Google Images all that much.

You're right, need to see video. But the stick of the player delivering the check is about 1.5 feet above the head of his opponent. Sticks move slower than pucks, so I'll stand by my statement. And note, NHL rules are different. And while I would have likely called it, that doesn't mean I agree with the rule.
After filming Thunder Road, Robert Mitchum bought the very Shoebox in the movie and had it shipped to L.A.
Engine shot of the '50 from Thunder Road:
Although I preferred the '57:
and the Ballad of Thunder Road was good, too.

I'll take this one built and owned by my best friend instead:

Aw Woody, I tried to convince SWMBO to sell the house, buy a MacGregor 65 which has a nice aft cabin; make the rear cabin to a workshop and cruise the Caribbean fixing stuff and cruising.
Can easily be sailed by two people.
Back to hockey, I realized that my favorite sweater is an nhl thing that may be older than me.
Only sports memorabilia I own.
I have an Atlanta Flames game used hockey stick sitting five feet to my right at this moment. Worthless, but still fun to own.
I started going there in '71 and for a few years after that. Used to drive the course to get to the top - usually at ahem -night -
