Why does every E36 M3ty old wing car have snow tires on it when it gets dragged back into polite society?
I was thinking what a blast it would be to drive a car like that in the snow.

I have four more of those Neon wheels if you want them...

If you were way closer. Always wanted to try to polish a set. To see what they look like. However being as far north as you are I'm going to have to pass unless you're driving South sometime soon with spare room
Next week we set up 18 of his cars for display. 8 different ones are in Long Island now.

I can think of two reasons, which might be one reason.
The cars were generally hated when new, to the point that some dealers removed the wings and put regular Charger/GTX noses on them, at great expense, just to get them off the lot, after they'd been sitting around for a year or more.
When I was a kid, mid'80s-ish when these were just used cars, there was a house a little ways up the street that had two of them parked on the side of the garage, one orange and one yellow, slowly decaying as they sat up to their hubs in the dirt.
My first car (a '72 Thunderbird, because 429-4V) came on rear snow tires. I bought it from a backyarder/car flipper, and I assume he put the snow tires on it because they were there, and free is a quality overcoming many faults. (Worry not, it didn't take long for a set of 245/60 Eagle ST tires and dog dish hubcaps to find their way on)

They're in the red outlined area, somewhere.

Lots of those are recaps as well, my dad always bought recap snow tires for the rear of every car because they were CHEAP. They burn off really well though if I recall correctly.

If an item is located in Atlanta, Tulsa or Orlando, would you say it's IN Atlanta or ON Atlanta? IN Tulsa or ON it? Orlando?

No matter what movies would have you believe, architects do NOT typically make that kind of money.

Interesting. My brain tells me IN Atlanta, or IN Ohio, or IN Germany, but ON Long Island sounds right. I think it's the "Island" that triggers it. I think of things being IN a region, but ON a specific geographic feature.
I would say a cabin is ON Blood Mountain, but IN the mountains. this is getting weird.

Since Atlanta, Tulsa, and Orlando share a land mass and are bounded by administrative borders rather than geographical features, you say the item is IN a given area.
However, Long Island is, in fact, an island with a physical feature defining its perimeter, so you say the item is ON Long Island. The item would be IN Eastport IN Suffolk County ON Long Island, because those are administratively / socially determined areas, not physically bordered on all sides by water.
It's a similar grammatical point, but I never understood why so many people say things are ON a given video game rather than IN it. "Are Porsches going to be on the next Gran Turismo?" just doesn't sound right.

Damn, I recognize that car from an old Retrorides forum build. I never thought the wheels suited. Must go back and read up how it's progressed in the last years.
I wonder if the "on Video Game Title" rather than "in Video Game Title" is like being "on The Geraldo Rivera Show" rather than "in the Geraldo Rivera Show." I agree, though, for the game "in" seems more sensible.
Pic hopefully unrelated. Just going to find something...
