Ouch!
obligatory pic (eeuuuwww, wtf is this monstrosity?)
George Barris no doubt! His fingerprints are all over it.
Funny, Barris was doing this stuff, and Max Balchowsky was building superb "junkyard dog" road race cars a few miles away in LA. Max's dogs looked a whole hell-of-a-lot better IMO.

Gaston Chevrolet (driver with the great 'stache). Came close to winning Indy in that car in maybe 1920. Died in a crash at a board track a year later in LA. Different car though.

My two boys and I went to Gettysburg over the weekend, kind of a spur of the moment trip. We had a relative there who was wounded on the 3rd day so we tracked down his unit markers.

That disc got HOT, wrecked the spindle, bearings and everything
They sent me this after repairing the wheel end; it fell out of the trailers frame when they brought it down off the lift

I was about 15 miles south of there - 71-75 . We used to go to Gettysburg often.

The old folks around here referred to the above as Hoover Carts. (or maybe not). This looks like a car body mounted on a wagon bed. Hoover carts were cars that were modified to be pulled by mules or horses.
Saratoga Auto Museum's new event is Radwood Cars. Calloway Corvette Roadster (no roof available), S-10 Cyclone, Mitsu I don't know enough about, Mrs. Petersen's personal Bentley Turbo and an electric something silly. This is < 1/3 of the collection. Cars will be replaced and or added in the coming weeks.
