Wasn't surprised when saw it was a Porsche cup car

 When two Porsche's get like that, are there going to be little Porsche's driving around in a month or so??  :0)

I always wondered.   What exactly happens when you hit one of those half buried tires?

I am guessing bad things.   You can guess which track is shown below.  I know at least one person here is very familiar (yes, those are TransAm cars).

They are pretty floppy actually!

Remember, they were worn out tires when they were installed ten years before a Trans-Am, and twenty before this photo. You could push them around easily, those that were left, I don't think any got replaced after the pros left.

Man they should build the car in the photo now. Would make a nice looking retromod. All LED lighting. Aluminum body. AWD electric. Oh but wait. It is not a 4 door, it is not a truck. And it is not a SUV.  So scratch that off the list.....  :0P

I saw some races at this track in Iowa a few years ago, no outside guardrail beyond the front stretch, just corn. Couple of drivers went off between 1 and 2, through the dirt, and rejoined on back straight
