Following on my theme, this was my 4th car. I had a Hemi Cuda ordered but was impatient and couldn't wait so I bought this AAR CUDA instead. 340 6 Pak.
While it was cool, it was a bit of a disappointment. The 3 dueces wouldn't run worth a darn with the air cleaner out as wind turbulence destroyed the air flow into the cars. The car was heavy, almost as heavy as the GTX.
I still have the rear spoiler off that car. My brother painted "Plymouth Makes it" on the back of it. That was their tag line during that time period. The saying had a heart with a devil's tail on it.
It was automatic and I bought a complete B&M racing transmssion with a manual valve body for it. I also had a 2500 rpm stall torque converter to make it even easier to drive on the streets. I must have gone thru 6 transmissions. They were all bad and lasted minutes on end. I'd install it after I got home from work and before dinner. After dinner I'd find out it didn't work and take it out and ship it back. Who needs a transmission jack, I'd sit it on my chest and slide out from under the car. Ahhh, young & stupid!

Wasn't there an A-mod car that ran a compound S/C? I seem to remember one that was in an old issue of Auto-X before the name changed.
I could post the pic of my 69 GT-6 again..but it isn't really a hotlink, since it's from my own photostash.
Eh, what the hell. Y'all seem to like the girl in the sweater...
