I would take a shotgun for close in work... you can blow off zombie heads or limbs if need be
Shotguns typically cant be reloaded very fast, so when you do run out of ammo in those close quarter scenarios you better have a back up....
Saiga-12, mags and drums for quick reloading.
No reloading issues, works in close quarters, easily maintained.
I haz the firearms but dont ignore the importance of a good edged weapon
