My eGay check was $5.49. Dayumn. 1.66 gallons of gas...
My ebay check was 53 cents. Did any one notice the short time period you have to cash the check? Just another way for those lawyers to make money. Send out 400,000 checks for under a buck with only 1 week of validity and if only half of them get cashed thats another almost 200 grand they pocket.
Pretty shrewd.
I got my 8 cent ebay check today. I will cash it just for the principal of it, but I'm not making a special trip, just when I am near the bank.
I got a check for 41 cents from Ebay Motors today, something about overcharging for final value fees.
$0.29. Yay. I could buy a stamp...in 1993. Probably cost me more in gas and wear-and-tear on the car to get to the bank to deposit it.
$1.39 arrived in my mail box a few days ago from E-bay. I imagine the cost of implementing the refunds is quite large given all the small amounts. Printing costs, postage, envelopes, etc.
I got a notification recently from Farmers Insurance about some class action settlement, I think I'm supposed to get around $75.00.

Have to wonder why Ebay couldn't have credited your account the $0.03 and sent you an email saying they had done it.
Feels good to receive any sort of settlement payments that come from settlements on part of another's mistake. But its a real headache when they need to be done for some of our own faults.
