Picked up an e30 a couple weeks ago and was surprised with the number of items on the top little fault checking computer... it even had a light to alert me that the wiper fluid was low. Last night I was grabbing some groceries with my accord and noticed that at about the same time, the maintenance needed (oil change reminder) and low fuel (on my way to get gas anyway) light came on back to back. Since the check engine light was already on (needs an O2 sensor) I tried to see how many I could get to light up and still have a normal driving car. The count stands at 8.

Oh I'm so going to start up the Q45 when I get home.
Most I can do is 4 with the Saturn because no abs or cruise control.
5 on the Mustang if you count me pulling the parking brake enough to trip the parking brake light but not actually engage the brake. (Have to to put the top up/down)
I think the dead Deville in the yard had every warning light on and would flash 4 or 5 warning messages on startup before it died.
This is British for “Systems nominal.”
Cruise, seatbelt, headlight, and low fuel lights seem like kind of a punk move. Just sayin.
Oh man, I can reach right into the CAN system on the ND and throw a veritable vegas of warning lights. You'd think a car with a TV on the center of the dash would have moved beyond cryptic symbols on the gauges, though.
I do like the "engine cold" warning light. That's probably going to save premature wear on a bunch of engines. Not all, but enough to make it worthwhile.

Yeah if we remove the "switched" lights he's tied with my Saturn at 2. (CEL and air bag)
Let's see...on the Cougar, I have a constant ABS light (wheel sensor probably) and a frequent/intermittent brake light (crappy 80s electrical ABS system works less than half the time and leaves me with manual front brakes only) along with the "firm ride" light sometimes blinking when it decides one of the actuators is stuck or something (crappy 80s automatic ride control system) and if I run it low on fuel I get a generic "check gauges" light that usually makes me double check the oil pressure gauge because it also comes on if the oil is low. Not bad for an 80s-designed car from 1991 with no airbags.

I have none on either of my vehicles which is mildly impressive to me.
Normal operation no switched lights 7. I'm disappointed because the battery wasn't hooked up it cleared the check engine light.

You have a bad ABS sensor
