So like I said, she just turned 15 yesterday, 2-28-11. I need to set up an account in order to purchase expenses and keep track of them. Something I can put money in, or have people put money in, and I can have an itemized transaction report. Stuff like firearms, ammunition, plastic trash bags, shovels, raw land, etc.
I'm thinking of naming the account "The Virginity Retainer Account"
Any suggestions?

I can help, but first will need your daughter's name, address, and pictures of said daughter...
Ok, 15 may be a littttttle young, I draw the line at hanging out with 17 year olds (5 year rule)

I believe the line is: "Young man, anything you do to her, I do to you... Got it ?? "
Of course I am fond of:
"I've got a .45 and a shovel, I doubt very much anybody would miss you !"

I think I'd have to agree with that one.
BTW, ING Direct has been pretty easy to deal with for non-emergency savings accounts.
Does she have a job? Have her set one up herself. Financial independence > depending on someone else to take care of her = no need for boyfriend.
I would get her something like a debit card, a credit card that pulls money from your checking account. Easily tracked, good everywhere.
Or this:

Or:
Sing along.....
Problee be up all night, still cleaning this guuuuun.
not very specific, but you may want to structure it so that there are no overdraft charges, just "Transaction declined" if handling money is an issue...
I have a .40 pistol, 12 gauge, and .308 assault rifle. When I say 10pm, I mean she's walking in at 9:30pm!

Quicken
it's a personal version of quickbooks.
a spread sheet would work as well. Most banks will let you download the account information electronically. since she is 15 it will be a custodial account and you can monitor it pretty easily. Only allow use of the debit card as a credit card not as an atm or debit card. That will allow you to see where and when she is spending the money,
Son, I've been to prison and I'm not afraid to go back

Most banks will have some sort of high school checking account. Get one of those, along with a savings account. Don't get the checks (unless she's paying some sort of payment), do get the debit card. Make sure she notes every transaction in checkbook register. It is a lot easier to see how fast money can go in or out that way. Try to get it as a joint account that becomes wholly hers at 18. I did that with my parents, although they never used it. I opted to keep my moms name on the account past 18 in case of emergency deposits. It has been needed when I realize that I've paid tuition and rent, and have all of $6.43 for a month to feed myself.
This is from my experience, I've had a savings account since I was about 6, and I've been using it (not my parents) since I was 13. I used the register from 13 too, although I've been slacking the past yearish. I opened another savings and checking account with debit card at 16 or 17, and at 19 opened another checking account to the original savings account because it is a big bank and easier to get access to while at school.
I was going to say it but yup, thanks guys

Hey Conquest:
The best thing I ever did was help my daughter see that the easiest thing she could do to weed out the idiots was to tell anyone who was interested that they'd have to FIRST talk to her daddy before she would date them.
She see's it as one of her best weapons against morons.
And she has met some very fine young gentlemen. One of them actually drove 10 hours to come talk to me first so he could go on a date with her.
It's not that I am a control freak. It's that I know what is inside the hearts of young men, and with this one tool SHE can now exercise control over her life and the circumstances, and the jerks generally take a hike. She figures, if they are not man enough to talk to me, they are not worth her bothering with.
It works great. Along with, of course, a shovel and a large tract of raw land!

My boss who has 3 daughters always said "I like prison food !, what time will you be back ?"
T minus 4 years for me...
I've also got a little 7 month old daughter, so I'm gonna go through all this again in another 15 years. LOL
My uncle (who has three daughters) used to clean one of his shotguns and put a few empty beers cans on the table on purpose when he knew one of the daughters would be bringing a boyfriend home. He's a classy fellow.
And you guys have it all wrong. The "old enough that you don't look like Jerry Lee Lewis" rule is: half your age plus seven. So for me...19 1/2.
My plan is this...
Beer bottles/cans on the table along with a gun cleaning kit and my H&K G3 taken apart on the table getting cleaned. The Desert Eagle Baby Eagle .40 S&W pistol sitting on the table, Remington 870 Tactical 12 gauge leaning up in the corner, misc. shells strewn about the table.
Sitting the young lad down and speaking about respect and courtesy to women and parents. Making sure they realize that 10pm means 9:30pm.
If they treat me, the wife, and the daughter with respect, then all is well. The daughter knows how to shoot and operate a butterfly knife with the best of them. Anyone gives her E36 M3, they'll pay for it.
