Company conference coming up in Scottsdale, AZ at the Phoenician.
I am looking for a reference on where to take my group out to eat and drink one night. It is a young group, under or near 30 yrs old. Not looking for something crazy expensive like Morton's Steakhouse but more of a bar and grill atmosphere. Extra points to something "authentic."
Goup of 12 people.
What do you know?
My wife has had several company meetings at the Phoenician and we did several dinners off site. I dont recall any of the names of the places. I would talk to the concierge and get recommendations.
The funny thing about Scottsdale is that everyone wants to eat outside and all the places have "misters" to make it more comfortable. It is a dry heat, lol. YMMV

There's lots of good places in old town on Scottsdale Rd south of Camelback Rd. Cowboy Ciao is good. Nightlife in that same area is tops. I work at a solar company just East of Camelback Mountain. I'd also recommend Roaring Fork. It's on the first floor of my building at the corner of Scottsdale Rd and Chaparall. I've never had a bad meal there and prices are good. And the dry heat, I'll take 108 in the shade vs 80 with 90% humidity any day.

You need to go to greasewood flats. It is an authentic cowboy stop out in the desert. I was told about it by a local when I was spending a few weeks out in Phoenix for work, and have gone back every time I've been back in the area, an brought new people with me every time, all of them also loved it.
If you want to go down to Tempe by the ASU campus there is a great brewery called Four Peaks, great beer and food. I have heard San Tan Brewery in Gilbert(I think) is also a great stop.

Pinnacle Peak Patio is another cowboy joint north of town. Similar to Greasewood Flats. Decent food, live band, and right close to Pinnacle Peak trailhead. I've taken the family there several time. Don't wear a tie they'll cut it off.
