I think the mythbuster's slip and slide was cooler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGAnWgvl7SE
Less hot girls though, maybe if Kari was there....
The fact that the participants are exclusively young and mostly male tells the story. It's all fun and games until someone breaks a spine.
Here's another pretty incredible one with a slingshot element:

Great sound track too.

It looks like something they would have at this place http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_Park Except. not nearly as cool, or big.. Also.. Best Wikipedia page ever!!!
Dammit; Now I'm going to spend the next 3 hours looking at the former employee website..... Again...
2 year old was intrigued by the video for 2 seconds and then said "This is not a very good song." True indeed.

Just read the wiki......I hate lawyers. That place sounds like it would have been fun.
I'm now wondering if I could build a tank with an air cannon for $2014

There were always two things that you could count on at Action Park: seeing dozens of Latinas losing bikini parts, and getting violently ill a few days later.

If they were pre-multiple kids and the ensuing 50+lb weight gain, then that's a great thing.
That clip is rad as hell. Looks like a blast.
Action Park -was- a blast. I went there a couple of times in the late 80s and early 90s. The alpine slide could really be dangerous.
I got thrown off of the can-am style cars when I put two wheels off of the track in a slide.
We got a 6ft wide roll of heavy plastic and made 3 coolers full of lube for a big slip n slide down a local sledding hill. It was pretty fast and we were going to do it again but my better judgement got the best of me. Kind of dangerous
Action Park appears to have been amazing. I can verify the unsafety of Alpine slides- I have the scars to prove it. Don't ask a pair of inebriated brothers who's gonna get down the hill faster. Those sleds catch a wicked amount of air at full tilt.
A Former Employee blog of the goings on at Action Park.. According to the blog, Employees used to deep fry quarters then toss them on the ground. Where "lucky" patrons would pick them up!!!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the first ever waterslide with a loop, or the enhanced GO karts!!!
Super Go Karts: The karts were meant to be driven around a small loop track at a speed of about 20 mph (32 km/h) set by the governor devices on them. But park employees knew how to circumvent the governors by wedging tennis balls into them, and were known to do so for parkgoers. As a result, an otherwise standard small-engine car ride became a chance to play bumper cars at 50 mph (80 km/h), and many injuries resulted from head-on collisions.[2] Also, the engines were poorly maintained, and some riders were overcome by gasoline fumes as they drove.[2]
