What has caused the sudden epidemic of trans-genders and their bathroom problems ?
Seems like a lot of hoopla to me.

They are trying to distract you from the fact that the best we have to run our country appear to be a battle between Trump and Clinton 2.
I am surprised there are not more post apocalypses 'what car' threads and grassroots water treatment threads preparing for the impending doom.
In before politics lock
It's the current wedge issue. Most of the old ones are old hat and don't get people properly riled up. The problem doesn't actually exist outside of discussions about it.
This issue got me thinking. What does a hermaphrodite do? Flip a coin? Why this is suddenly a thing is a mystery to me.
Thr big concern is looking at my junk. I mean either you're peeking over the divider or under the door. Either way, im not the pervert.
bah. You want to look at people's junk in the bathroom/locker room do a quick search on "casual encouters" on Craigslist. You'll find the places to frequent or not frequent if you want.
In all seriousness I was told to do this. The 24hr fitness near work has a surprising ammount of m4m postings listing it as the place to umm. Hangout? So you do it beforehand to make sure your gym isn't the weird kinda meat market. Or maybe you want it to be. It's a free country.
I don't want to see anyone (well, most anyone) else's junk, but I don't really care if someone try's to see my dingus. Doesn't really bother me for some reason.

I wouldn't call it a rash, I've been doing it for years.

I made the mistake of clicking one of those ads. At work. Once. A tab has never been closed faster than when greeted with man dong. (To me fair i was new to craigslist, and wasn't really sure what i was looking at)
We used to read the personal ads in the paper at lunch hour for a laugh.
Best one I ever read was "TS seeks partner for light bondage and watersports. No weirdos!"
Wasn't this pretty well covered last week in the "bathrooms confuse me" thread? Consensus then seemed to be: non issue, nothing to see here, move along folks.
Idiot media seems to think we need to be excited about something. Bleah
What I want to know is "where does it end?" First homosexuality, now transgender, what's next? Bestiality?
Your comment is an example as to why the slippery slope argument is an illogical one generally (movement in a direction implies the movement will never stop, in this case, there is a very big speed bump to clear). Bestiality is illegal because there can be no consent. Could bestiality be harmless? Possibly, but there is no way to know. If we could somehow magically talk to animals and they are OK with it and it did not harm them, then what's the issue?
Child molestation is illegal when there theoretically is consent, but our society does not allow minors to give consent, for what I am sure most will consider a very good reason (very clear evidence of a very high potential psychological harm). Sadly there is at least one society who does believe this, and apparently has no concern what it does to the children, but I see no road that would bring the vast majority of the world to those depths.
Besides, transgender, transsexual, cross dressing ect, are essentially a different issue from sexual behavior. It's best not to confound them (and as above, doesn't really matter anyway). The issue at hand currently is more of a "societal comfort" issue.
OK, from my perspective your comment is not a good example of a slippery slope argument. It's more of a straw man. You are responding to one argument with an answer (a concern really) to a different argument.

Sad, but so very true.
A Vet was telling me the other day his uncle took his brother's birth certificate and lied to get into the military at age 16 to serve the country during WWII. Some days I think to myself those WWII vets must think we are a bunch of Bob Costas arguing about these problems.

Might want to have it looked at by a dermatologist?
