Me included! I start in 3 weeks as the Digital Marketing Sales Consultant for a small company called Lift Division. I will be selling website upgrades and s. e. o. packages. This will be my first partial commission job but I'm excited. If anyone is in need of digital marketing services, let me know. I have seen some of their work and they build a solid Web page at a reasonable price.
Interesting!
I spoke with a recruiter today about a few different possible job options. One in particular would be amazing because of the amount of PTO I would acquire.
Me too! Well, it's more a transfer (from network operations to data processing ops), but it comes with a nice pay raise and retention bonus, plus I keep my benefits and I don't have to go job hunting in a few months when my current division is closed in August.
Maybe if I hang out here enough some of that juju will rub off on me!
Congrats!
Congrats!!
I got a new job too! Might only be a nurse extern position in a damn busy ER, but it does involve the exchange of money for work performed. Sure beats sitting at home with bills piling up.
In reply to Ranger50:
Yep, I have been delivering auto parts in the meantime and it is nice to get back to something with a bit more thought.

LMFAO. Congrats, guys. Love it when EVERYONE makes money!!!
Man when is some of this good juju going to rub off on me? But we have massive unemployment here (including something like 20% voluntary unemployment) so I guess just having a job is an achievement.
Congrats! And it is rough. I put my resumes out anywhere and everywhere possible and the same day my unit ended my orders 8 months short I got a call for a job in a different part of the country but it was worth it. Just be persistent! Spread your resume like you would your seed if you were 18 again.

Sending waves of good juju your way. 20% "voluntary" unemployment??? How the berkeley does that work? How do you guys collect taxes?
Fantastic! My interview went pretty well, my buddy that works at the place says they have multiple positions open now, but I'm still sweating until I get that phone call.

Fiance and I have resumes out for better jobs. Hopefully posting in this thread will have some luck rub off on us.

I have been offered a job in the past week. Was contacted and told that if I applied I would be hired. Just not sure if I want to stay in MN for another winter.

The gains of working vs. just surviving on welfare here aren't enough to motivate some people...somewhat understandably.

In large amounts, from the people who do have jobs, and on sales and imports.
I'm in the club now too. I just accepted a sceduling position in Boston. I will be moving there from Ohio.
