The ones that are just... not good, but for whatever reason you can't turn it off when its on.
I've always been a fan of Stroker Ace, but that's more a factor of Burt than anything else.

The Nicholas cage gone in 60 seconds. It is so...so bad. The "accent" he has is abysmal. I've watched it a million times.
Same with the redux of dukes of Hazzard. Not necessarily a car movie, but some absolutely spectacular driving and stunt work.
Watched smokey and the bandit again last night, idk if it's the current climate or what, but man that movie hasn't aged well- the trans am however, most certainly has.
Talladega Nights is pretty bad but is also one of my all time favorite movies. I've seen that movie more times than I can count.
The Nicholas Cage Gone in 60 Seconds was perfectly terrible.
King of the Mountain perhaps. Mostly because the ratty Corvette speaks to me and I kind of want it.
Another one I remembered but haven't seen in a while is Highwaymen. Dude in a Barracuda hunting a serial killer that likes running people over with his hand controlled Caddy.
That last one might almost be good though. Haven't seen it in a long time and I kind of don't remember most of it.
Hooper is pretty awful, but the end sequence is awesome:

Thunder Run is and old favorite of mine:
This thread is gonna be FULL of Nick Cage. Dude's a legend.
Mine is Drive Angry but i'm not sure if it can be called "bad". I have never seen a movie that careened between all-out camp to actual, decent twist as well as Drive Angry but that's likely because everyone in it's a good actor and the stories of it's production are actually really fun and engaging. It even has a little injection of theology in the film with it's twist; it's not incredibly thought provoking or anything, but it gives the huge number of one-liners a real intelligent edge.
" Milton: What's he gonna do? Not let me back in? "
"Bad" car movie: Two Lane Blacktop. I've seen it probably a dozen times, and it's just so boring. A friend was talking about the worst movie he had ever seen, I said "try Two Lane Blacktop." He came back and said "they spent so much money on the cars, they didn't have enough for plot.
"Bad Car" movie: Christine. Oh yes. Epic.

Was waiting for Two lane. that was a great car movie, but people can't see it because they're so used to glossy fake Hollywod, they don't know real when they see it anymore.
Yes, Christime was an atrocious movie. Watched it with Mrs P a few times (video rental was a novelty then) when we were dating
How about Six pack

I will top TLB with the original Vanishing Point.
In reply to Daylan C (Forum Supporter) :
I don't think I've heard of either of those, I'll look into them
I agree with most of the ones already listed, and I want add Maximum Overdrive. I watch it almost every time that it is on tv. I like the soundtrack probably better than movie.
Driven is pretty terrrible. Was one of me and my wifes first date movies.. I'm still appologizing for that choice, but I laughed through half the movie it was so bad..
but has a soft spot in my heart

The first one has so much unintentional comedy, it's like a car guy Plan 9 from Outer Space.
In reply to poopshovel again :
The only reason to hate this movie is that 45 minute conversation in the middle of it. Other than that, I think its one of the best car chases out there.
And hey, it passes the Bechdel test!

This. So awful, yet fun/entertaining.
