Is on the way to NE scheduled for this weekend!!!!! I don't know why but I am kind of excited. I will be sick of it by the end of February and our 5th storm but for now I am excited.

Had 7" on sunday while we were up North, the whole family was delighted to have a decent amount of snow for a change this year. Trouble is by the time we got back home there hadn't been any to speak of.
I am not looking forwards to it. I am working 4p till midnight on Friday.. going to make for a miserable ride home
-14° wind chill last night. I'll take some white stuff for a change if it brings even a slight rise in temp.
My daughter in WV is having a baby on Friday and we were supposed to go up. The last time she had a baby and we went up, we spent the night on I-77 and the Hampton Inn parking lot. The wife said, "not this time".
I still get giddy like a 10 year old over snow storms and thunderstorms, like to the point where I am going to have difficulty focusing at work this week lol. I've always had an interest in meteorology and actually considered pursuing it as a career at one point (I often think I should have-what other job still pays you when you're wrong 50+% of the time )
From what I'm gathering, the setup is looking extremely favorable for a pretty big storm in south central PA - trough in Jetstream providing plenty of cold air, plenty of gulf moisture to supply the low as it is expected to strengthen off the east coast, high pressure to the NE should slow progress, and the likely track looks to place us right in the heart of the heaviest snow. Also hearing models have been showing pretty good consensus even this far out.
Let it berkeleying snow, I want me some snow hooning!!!
It's going to hit Kentucky tonight. Everyone is already freaking the berk out (stock up on that milk and bread!!!). I'm looking forward to hooning the new AWD!
SWMBO is coming over Friday night for our regular date-night. If she gets snowed in and can't leave? Oh noes.
4wd Suburban. Check.
4Motion Passat for Tiger Mom. Check.
Food stocked in the pantry for a 30 day bug-in. Check.
Bring it on Mother Nature, we'll be fine.
That aside, I really enjoy a good snow. 1-2 feet of fresh white powder makes me happy. TM is from the Philippines and grew up in Southern California, it's still a thrill for her.
Time to move the snow blower into my heated garage. I have already checked it out 2 months ago, so it's ready to go. 200+ feet of 2 car wide driveway is no picnic in a big storm. Come on springtime!

Be prepared.
There was a quick little snow squall last Tuesday and everyone reacted like it was a blizzard. Here in PA, all of the models are calling from everything from a dusting to five feet of snow so I will just take what we get Friday-Saturday and

Spray paint the windows white so you can claim a total snow in no matter what.
If she doesn't live there, she's not SWMBO, more like SWOSBCC (She Who's Opinion Should Be Carefully Considered)
First winter outside of Arizona in 20 years. We've had a couple dustings and flurries in WV so far but I'm not sure what to expect with this forecast...I'll probably showed in at work this weekend but at least the paycheck will be good hopefully lol.
I am going to be a nice guy and get some tow straps tomorrow. Not for me, for all the idiots who are going to pass my lumbering disco in the snow at 60+ mph and then go pin balling off into the marshes.. yes, there are always a couple who think that traction and stability control means they can speed when there is a 6 inches of snow on the ground
