Somehow I got suckered into buying Gt5. It's an overpriced, complex loading screen. If they had a text-menu only mode I might enjoy the game.

OK, would something like a $50 refurbished xbox and a copy of forza 2 or 3 give me a 'visually accurate' representation of the track?
No. You need a 360 for 2 or 3

So something like this? http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/consoles/xbox-360-with-wireless-controller-gamestop-refurbished/69349?loc=tradeinpromo_boxart

Yes, that is what I got. If possible, ask them to find a refurbed elite (they have a black case) because they have a lower percentage of RROD, and be sure you get the one year replacement warranty.

I just really need the liveries.
I'm glad I'm not the only one here who loves the hugely inappropriate engine swaps that Forza offers.
A few weeks ago, I made an offhanded remark to the girlfriend about how you can make any car cool in Forza. She challenged it, and picked out a stock Chevy Aveo for me to mess with.
I made it RWD, and gave it an LS6. Then topped all the race bits off with a nice livery I found on the marketplace. Can you say C6.R Jake paintjob?
Needless to say, I won that round.
Forza definitely has momentum behind it. I'm very excited about the new title...I hope we get more real-world tracks to race on! Here are a few that I'd like to see...
VIR
Daytona
Watkins Glen
Willow Springs
What else should they include?
I've been waiting for the ability to look through corners. Very exciting stuff.
Of course, there goes my excuse for leaving the driving line on...
I was excited for that in GT5, as well. It offers it using the PS eye. However, I found it ruined my ability to sense the cars rotation. I could look through the corner, but couldn't tell what state the car was in while doing it. Maybe if I gave it more time...
I want to see Barber in a game. I consider it in the top 5 road racing circuits in North America. Such a stunning place.
In reply to Maroon92:
Barber is in rFactor . . . but nothing on the consoles
Some of those tracks on PC sims are pretty close to the real thing . . . pretty good since "amateurs" built them for the game.

Infineon
Thunder Hill
The Kinect thing is kinda cool (even after I bought a HD TV, I still couldn't look far enough down the road in F3), but if they don't restore custom public lobbies online, I'll pass. To me (and just to me, I'm not speaking for anyone else here), leaving the "suggested line" on is an even bigger "cheat" than the stupid driveline conversions. I've never seen the line painted on any racetrack I've ever visited in real life.
Apologies to Mr. Heath..I know you wouldn't "cheat" IRL.. Like I said back in the days of the ol GRM Forza League..I don't want to play a video game, I want to race some berkelying cars because I can't afford to do it for real anymore.

My wish list:
Mid-Ohio
Grattan
Waterford Hills
Austin F1 track
NOLA Motorsports Park
Ocala Kart track (test against GRM times!)
Top Gear test track (US)
Top Gear test track (UK)
Several AutoX - sized tracks

I'd love to get some small, autocross type courses in there. Heck, why not have a black lake of asphalt and have an editor to plop cones/gates around? They had a feature like that in Peak Performance on the PS1 way back in the olden days...
Austin F1 is another great idea.
Mid-Ohio probably has a good shot at being picked up, but I think Waterford is probably a long shot. Seriously, VIR is my number 1 wish.
An autocross editor would be awesome, but I would be happy even if they just brought back the 10 autocross layouts included with Forza 1.
I actually enjoyed the AutoX mode in the first forza Though It was way harder than track racing since the field of view was so limited.
I wish they had a decent wheel setup for forza. I would buy the logitec rig if it worked with the Xbox.
The above linked picture does not do much for me, it looks suspiciously cutesy, much like the wii-mote abomination of a wheel...

That sounds like a great way to showcase how cool the kinnect "look ahead" thing is.
