Forza 4... already.

Seems like we may need to start up a series again. Cause some of y'all no doubt have rust on your controllers...

I keep checking this thread to see if you guys are going to have a series. We're having a blast over @ the GT5 series. If you do please post in advance, I may try to find the time to do Forza too. My step-son has an Xbox 360 and I've played F3 a good bit. I just bought my PS3 recently just to do GT5.

LOL......might be, heck, my local one had a midnight release for FM3. And didn't for GT5(something about dates changing all the time)

I bumped my preorder up to the LCE. My Forza 3 may have gotten a little rusty, but the controller is working fine. And now that the DSL to the house is fixed I might be able to get back to some multiplayer.

I pre-ordered the regular, but ill up the $30.00 for the extra 25 cars with the CE.

So, uh, I just pre-ordered the LCE through Amazon. Did I mention that I don't own an XBOX360?

I have a friend that will let me borrow his (I dunno anything about it, figure worst-case it's the original release and has the smallest HD).

What else should I be buying?

Also, Amazon pre-order gets you a WRX STi, which sounds boring, is there a better place to pre-order?

Does anybody know what the LCE has? I've only seen mention of the M5 and Veyron SS.

Did I mention my most advanced video game right now is GT4 on a PS2?

I fired up the original Forza last night to play with the autocross mode and ended up doing a couple series of races... It is unbelievable how much more sophisticated the graphics and physics are in Forza 3 vs the original. Can't wait to see the improvements in Forza 4 (just wish they would bring back the autocross mode). I'm hoping the head tracking is smooth and without much delay. There seems to be an inherent (but slight) delay in other Kinect games. I suppose it'll just force me to look ahead earlier, which is probably good training anyway. Playing on the Top Gear test track and trying to match Stig's times should prove entertaining :D

top gear test track is going to be awesome... and apparently 4 will have auto-x :)...

just got 3 and am about 2 or 3 months into the racing season :)... last racing game I played was GT3 on the ps2... amazing what almost a decade makes...

Plus they're also confirmed the Kia Cee'd will be in the game, so you can post up your own Star in a Reasonably Priced car times!

Woah, I completely missed that! Pre-ordering now... (Amazon, because it appears to be $10 less than Best Buy).

I dunno, but playing Top Gear in a game is what sold me!

I think this is going to be the straw that breaks the GT camel's back. To delay a game for 2+ years and have it be inferior, than have a new Forza come out just a year later.

I think Wilber is finally going to concede to me that Forza is better than GT and then buy an xbox :) I can't wait for October! Forza and iPhone 5! :) Better start saving now.

I called my local gamestop yesterday and was told that I couldn't pre-order F4 yet. Several of you said that you have. I suspect he was too busy to take my order on the phone because he sounded a little stressed. Why should I order it @ gamestop over another store, and what is the advantage of the pre-order over just waiting until it's released? BTW, I'm new to X-box, so your help would be appreciated.

The original Forza had Autocross and it was nearly impossible to do well. The limited visibility the screen gives you and the lack of sensation pretty much killed it. Keep the autocrossing to the parking lots and the racing on the screen.

I preorderd today at Best Buy when I was picking up Rango. Now I gotta find $500 for a Fanatec wheel before October.

If you use the third person view, which is a much more realistic view as to what you see anyways, there's no problem.

And I don't get the Top Gear Test Track love at all. It's just a figure 8, and a really unremarkable one at that.

There are far better tracks out there for sure, but the TG track offers two fun tasks in my eyes: Trying to beat Stig's times, and the "Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car" challenge :D

My best times in a Spec Miata (or at least as close as I can get one in the game) are a good 2 secs. a lap faster than the track record at Sebring, Road Atlanta, Road America, and Laguna Seca though. Hopefully, with all the tire data they were given from Pirelli this time around, the tires won't be as grippy, and the times will be a little more realistic.
