Not only is the weapon non-operable, the whole Warthog is only available in the showcase/display mode.
There is, however, a drivable Hummer H1.
And a 78(?) Mustang King Cobra.

That looks interesting. It appears that all the funtions are in the wheel with the triggers taking the place of the pedals . . . right? Seems like it may be tireing though since it has no steering shaft to hold it in place.
The only two wheels I've used are a used Momo wheel for PS and a new Walmart cheapo wheel that I returned immediately. Both were total junk with so much lag I couldn't get used to it at all.
Those of you who have used a quality wheel . . . they should not have any lag should they?

Did you adjust the dead space settings for your wheel? They can make a difference if the center dead space is too high.

This argument is no longer valid.
hey, all i'm saying is I don't trust them, it's still happening and spending the money...like I said, I want to play this SO BAD
Played the demo last night.
After I beat the M5 Rivals challenge, I spent quite some time going backwards and sending all the little euro-hatches flying
Gotta get my 360 fixed...
There's always used wheels. I bought one and the force feedback fuse was blown. A little bit of solder and it was good as new.

I'm downloading the demo now. I would've sooner, but this seasonal job I picked up has some killer hours at times. Next Tuesday I have to be at work at 7:30 so no midnight release this time around, but as soon as I get off at 4:00 immediate 28 mile drive into town to pick up my copy. So, by 5:30-6 on Tuesday I'll be on.
All I can say is WOW! to playing the full version yesterday. The '94 Miata on Sebring using the Fanatec wheel was pretty damn good. Wish the projector would have been of a little higher quality so that the edges of the track were visible in the sun, but I could almost drive it by memory, it's that spot on.
Best Buy cancelled my LCE preorder, saying that they sold out of them due to the high demand and were unable to fulfill all the orders.
Had to order the standard version, and they threw in $25 best buy gift card, 1600 ms points card, and free 1 day shipping for the inconvenience. Still a little bit disappoint.
