Success.
I stopped by tonight. Yes they are crappy screwdrivers but the price was just right for some that I can keep in the trunk of the car.
I can always use another flash light.
We should use this thread to document the most inappropriate use of said free screwdriver set. For free they will make good prybars, chisels....
...oh wait this is the internet....I take it all back - I do not want to see the most inappropriate use of a screw driver.
These cheap little flashlights have been becoming a favorite of mine. They are small, light, cheap, and throw a decent amount of light.
I am using one with the lanyard as a keyring for the new house. I guess it fell out of my jacket pocket, I found it setting on the neighbors retaining wall. It was obviously slightly flattened by a car tire but it still works.

Don't lie.
Thanks for the links, btw.

I figured by now there would be some totally inappropriate picture in this thread.

C'mon guys, be good to our hosts. If you're going to use a 20% off coupon or get a free flashlight, use the one from this page:

65020 (flashlight) was out-of-stock at my local HF today. I got the free screwdrivers a few months ago. Yeah, you get what you pay for, but they are in my "Junk Tools" bucket awaiting a future project when I need to make a special tool from a screwdriver.
If I didn't already have 250 screwdrivers and 35 flashlights, I would jump on it.
Yes, I'm a "hoarder".

Printed.
I will be headed there tonight, it turns out I need the towing lights, and other stuff...
Thanks, and I will always check that link first.
I didn't see the engine hoist for $89 before. Looks like that will be picked up this weekend. Along w/ my flashlight. Can you use the 20% off and the flashlight coupon at the same time?
Yes, you can use multiple coupons at the same time, but only one 20% off coupon per sale and the 20% coupon has to be on an item with no other coupon. So, free screwdrivers, flashlight, $89 hoist and 20% off anything else in the store without a coupon, including stuff on super discount.
I got 20% off my MIG wire yesterday.
so the 20% won't count towards the lift? And is a load leveler necessary on a watercooled vw engine?
The 20% coupon cannot be used with other coupons or discounts on the same item. But, it can be used on sales items. So wait until they have that lift on sale, and use the coupon on it then. It's on sale fairly frequently.
A load leveler is a darn handy tool. Not critical, but once you use it you'll never want to not use it again. Sorta like how once you use a cherry picker you never want to use a tree limb again.
I gotcha. I thought that the $89 was a sale price, not a coupon price. I may buy it anyway, though. I need to go ahead and make some progress on the car, and waiting is just another excuse not to. I would rather not borrow a lift right now as I don't have alot of free time and getting in when I could do something would be a hassle. Not to mention that I don't have a lockable, covered place to keep it in. Can't risk having someone else's lift stolen when I don't even have one myself.
Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I'd get the load leveler. I have one. I've done them with and without, and it is a whole lot easier with. The HF load leveler works, but be sure to oil the threads. Mine galled up and I had to run a tap/die on the whole thing, then oil it all up and it's good to go again.
