He surrendered to the feds. He was turned over to the state police afterward.

The best part: when he was cuffed they used the pair that belonged to the guy he killed. HA. Dumbass has gotten off light; according to the news reports he basically just surrendered. Not real sure where that nose strip thing came from, but the cops all say he didn't even try to resist and that there was a cut on his nose before he was caught.

I was thinking this morning, he is nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is. Had he used his head, he would have had a getaway planned; stash an untraceable car etc then head for Montana or somewhere as quick as he could after his chickenshi+ ambush. He could have done a Unabomber and disappeared for YEARS out there. But no, he chose to play stupid diaper games.

I don't get the diaper thing. I think he has some kind of weird diaper fetish. If he was smart he could have taken dumps in the woods in strategic positions to throw off police dogs.

Frein was berkeleying up from the get go, sinking his XJ in a pond driving lights out, abandoning weapons and supplies later. Even if he had cached supplies on his home turf (which he probably did), towards the end he still had to operate in populated areas. Doesn't appear he planned much past Plan A or B and no, he wasn't very smart at all. Loss of foliage cover, colder nights, dogs, FLIR, duh... never anticipated that?

Be interesting to see what his ultimate plans entailed had he not berkeleyed up, just for the sake of it. What makes sick minds plan this E36 M3? Profilers are gonna have a time w/ this nut case. Authorities had said it was like he was playing a cat and mouse game. Cat FTW.

I completely agree. This dude was playing airsoft war games in his head. What a sicko.

Also... I've very sad for all the damage those officers inflicted on the woods around there. I used to camp up there when I was a boyscout. It's wonderful terrain. Thanks Frein for ruining hunting season for all my PA friends.

Eric Rudolph lived near a populated area for years undetected. He may have had a bit of "help" though.
