Man... This thread just seems weird to someone where pot is legal and there are weed shops and commercial grow operations everywhere.
Weed smell is just a fact of life. I still find it unpleasant. The stench of a 30,000 square foot grow operation will fill a 6 block radius. And yes, you can light up a bong on your front porch.
I don't partake, not my thing but judging by the amount of new weed shops opening everyday I am really in the minority.
There are 3 shops next door to each other! I am hoping we reach a saturation point soon so some will fail and we can have retail space devoted to something other than pot.
This really cannot be happening, because weed is not addictive.

It’s still illegal (at least for recreational use) in Ohio, but that doesn’t stop the people two houses down from me from smoking it on the back porch. The smell occasionally wafts into my garage and gets stuck there, really annoying.
But, it’s not as heavy as in Vegas. I was there last weekend for the first time since legalization. Judging by the smell, I’m guessing enforcing the prohibition on smoking it in public is not high on the cops’ list of priorities. I was able to almost constantly smell it outside on the strip. At this rate, next time I go back, inside the casinos will smell better than outside. At least what was out there wasn’t as awful smelling as the E36 M3 my neighbors smoke.
I agree with AngryCorvair. I mean, people will judge you just for smelling like something. No matter how mainstream it is. Smell like pot, you're disgusting. Smell like curry, you're disgusting. Smell like gasoline, you're disgusting. Even if all of your friends do it, many people will think less of you.
It's okay if you don't care, and it's usually only their problem, but, still. Don't be that guy.
