That is all!!
I can hear the fireworks from my house!
hope they win it all, i like Cliff Lee as a pitcher. unfortunately we all know he is $ driven and will end up in NY next year. I got to watch him win the cy young award here, he just dominates for 8-9 innings pretty much every start. I was so happy when vlad hit that double and knocked in two runs. when the ump blew the call letting a-roid score i thought the fix was in, and had flashbacks of 2007 with my indians being up 3-1(and i went to game 4) and then dropping 3 in a row to boston. being from cleveland and total lifelong indians fan - i hate the yankees and both sox more than anything but the steelers and ravens. the look of shock on CC's face as he sat in the pen was priceless, he's a total choke in the postseason. Lee, on the other hand, is amazing
They really earned the win. The playoffs have been really good this year. I've been rooting for Texas and the Giants, the underdogs. Never thought they'd both (hopefully) make it to The World Series.
This Dodgers fan is rooting for Texas in a pinch. Someone has to whip the Giants! Besides, it was great to see Nolan up there last night. There will never be another player like him.

These days, nearly every team "buys" the championship. Yes, though they still have to play the games, the pro teams are full of mercenaries.

the total salary of the yankees ads up to more than double the total salary of the rangers
"the total salary of the yankees ads up to more than double the total salary of the rangers"
o.k; again... 'that's why they play the games."
In reply to Gubby:
that was my point, that even though NY buys the best players, they still have to get them to play as a team.

A-Rod Finally Leads Rangers To World Series October 24, 2010 | ISSUE 46•42
04.05.07 ARLINGTON, TX—Ten years after signing a record $252 million contract to play baseball in Texas, third baseman Alex Rodriguez finally delivered for the Rangers by leading the franchise to its first-ever World Series. "A-Rod came up big for us this entire series, all the way up until the last out," Rangers manager Ron Washington told reporters during a postgame press conference, saying that the Rangers would have had no chance of beating the New York Yankees without Rodriguez's remarkable performance at the plate. "It was a long time coming, but you have to give the guy credit. He was the Rangers' MVP, no question." Washington added that seeing Rodriguez take Texas to the World Series was one thing, but A-Rod almost single-handedly beating the Yankees was "extra sweet."
