Yeah, Atl CL ads seem to be turning into another GRM board meme. The cars are definitely here, but I can't justify bringing one home until I've got paychecks again. Shame, really..this one's even got the $$$$$ hardtop. Heck, I could get half the price back by selling the top to somebody building a Spec racer.

When I got comments on other forums about how weird the Wartburg was I could only say that I felt it was pretty sedate after knowing the bunch here.

Heck I remember when the cardomain "craziest car of the challenge" or whatever it was called award was announced and even folks here said the Wartburg was a shoe in....and I said I had no doubt someone here would out crazy me, and they did :)

This is the only place I can feel normal.

Just for a reference. I bought a 94 with 99K black on black sans the H-top, in as good or better shape (and all the maintenance) for $3K in 2008.

Now by the same token, I wrecked the car (left front fender only, someone thought the middle of the road was a great place to leave a porch swing ) and put 20K miles on it in 6 months and sold if for $3200.

+2. I'm also active on a forum that covers the Mazda3/Mazdaspeed3, and everybody there thinks I'm nuts for liking Fieros, Pintos, and Fox-chassis Capris (not even Fox Mustangs, just the Fox Capri). I'm pretty sure that if someone mentions an oddball car, the other members are thinking, "oh, great, I wonder how RexSeven is going to defend this POS."

How is the engine bay on a 20 year old car that clean? I want that, and i even hate red cars.
