You're right. I live in Florida, but have been posting pictures from the Sheepscot River and Isle of Springs, Maine. You've got a good eye.
My wife's stepdad had a summer home on the island. He died last year. It's the only way we could afford the trip. Now that he's gone I don't think we'll ever be able to return.
Shot this photo at the Polish Mountain Hillclimb something like 9-10 years ago. Was trying to be a motorsports photographer at the time (hey, if you cant afford to drive...).
Shot crossing the Mackinac Bridge because that's the bluest water I've ever seen. Nikon AW120 because it's easy to shoot one-handed and by feel.

If it's any help at all. I have lodging provided by the company that "hired" me and I'm glad to help any way I can. One of my best friends is in Knox, Maine and I'm planning to go up there soon, and then again when the leaves are turning. It's BEAUTIFUL right now.
Hermosa Beach Sunset
My brother and I spent a night in Redondo Beach last week. I saw that the Hemosa Beach Pier was within walking distance so we dragged the camera and tripod along. Turns out there was a ship parked just offshore between the pier and the sunset. We decided to go up on the pier instead. I saw these pelicans flying towards us and decided to see how the focus tracking on my new camera worked. It turned out to my favorite picture of the night.

Today is exactly 2 years since this trip to Lofoten, an archipelago in arctic Norway. Really looking forward to traveling again.
UPS dropped off a new 28-200 lens for my Sony A7ii this afternoon. I was sitting on the back porch fiddling with it and using one of the hummingbird feeders as a focus point. This little guy was nice enough to stop by for a visit.

I posted just before midnight, so I get to comply with the one per day stipulation.
The ferry, with my wife heading out to get groceries:
From a few weeks ago. This looks Hazy AF. That's because it is :/ Smoke from the Oregon fires has really destroyed visibility.
