Over the past couple of days when I click the bookmark for the forum I get an error message and the site doesn't load.
On occasion, the error will pop up and then the site will load after 5-10 seconds.
If I clear my search history and cash, the site will usually load normally. When the site will not load, it will load on my phone.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro and Chrome on my desktop and Android and Chrome on my phone.
The error message is grassrootsmotorsports refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Thanks. Don’t believe we have seen that one but will investigate.

We're working on improving the performance (i.e. speed) of our website. We've had a bunch of bot traffic as of late, and we're working on combating that so we can deliver a nice, speedy site. I'm guessing your error is related to that. We're on it.

Could be.
Another thought, uBlock Origin quit working on Chrome so I installed uBlock Origin Lite. I thought I had installed it after the problem started but maybe not. I'll turn off filtering for this site and see if that helps.
I'll report back if so.
The only MS Edge seems to work for me. Chrome and safarri are not working. (Yes I cleared the cash)
And it looks like it is now fixed.
Thanks !!!!!!

I had the same problem the other day on chrome. Error message said it wasn't a secure site. I blamed my computer and reloaded the link and it works fine now. Maybe I'll have to apologize to my computer?
With uBlock turned off it's still throwing the code.

Weird. I tried Google Chrome and no issues here, but I don't have that plugin installed.
It seems like Google isn't making it easy for uBlock Origin to work, though: Google is killing one of Chrome's biggest ad blockers | PCWorld
It is working for me but it is Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow to open or click around on the site in Chrome.
Started having issues this morning. Android, chrome.
If I go through my watch list to get to a page I get connection refused, but if I go from latest topics, it's fine.
The site is still refusing the connection this morning.
Clearing the cache alone doesn't solve the issue. Clearing the history and the cache does 95% of the time. The other 5% I have to shut down Chrome and restart it.
I've no issues going to the Latest Topics page and scrolling, clicking links from there. But if I try to click a link from an email notification on my phone, that won't load. This has happened at least 3 times recently.
Update.
I have dumped the cache, browsing data, and cookies on Chrome.
Chrome is up to date as is Windows.
I have deleted uBlock.
This morning it is throwing the same error message. It would not connect to www.grassrootsmotorsports.com or www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/forums
Both times it returned the error message grassrootsmotorsports refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Deleting the cache, browsing data, and cookies again cleared it up. It must be storing something in the cache or cookies between visits that is making it refuse future connections.

Weird! Thanks for the info. Let me see what digging we can do.

Still acting up this morning.
It acts up if I use the bookmark or if I type in the web address. I have noticed if I do a Google search for GRM and access the site through the Google link it works every time.
I'll try updating my bookmarks and see if that fixes it.
I haven't had any issues of any kind with the site, Win 11 on Edge, just FYI.

Weird request. Our web developer suggested the following: "power cycle their internet modem and router and try again."
Give that a try and see if it works.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
So far, deleting my bookmark and bookmarking the page again seems to have taken care of it.
My previous bookmark was grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/
The new bookmark is https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/
I assume the missing https:// had something to do with the problem. Maybe the site was refusing the connection due to the lack of security. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It sounds like a URL redirect issue, then. We'll get that squared away. Thank you!
This URL issue should be resolved now. Let me know if any of you have any issues.
