Hey GRM staff, I have a titanic boon to beg of y'all:
I'm a Girl Scout leader, and we're currently doing a badge called Car Sense (4 of our 8 scouts are newly licensed drivers). I'm not exactly following the more stupid of the badge guidelines, but I'm concentrating on really important stuff that they actually need to know. Last meeting, they jacked up my 3er, changed a tire, and learned that lug bolts are a PITA. They also checked the air, and all the fluids.
A couple years ago, the magazine had an article on weight transfer. I'm teaching them vehicle dynamics and the basics of traction management, and I'd really love to use those diagrams in my handout. Unfortunately, I sent that issue to the US troops in Iraq (not the scouts), and I don't have it any longer.
Is there any chance I could get PDFs or some other electronic files of those diagrams? I do not need the whole article, just the artwork, and I promise it won't be used anywhere other than a paper handout for the girls to take home. I always credit my sources, of course.
If this is possible, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks for your consideration!
I'm generous, but lazy, and have a terrible memory for stuff that was in the magazine. Send me an issue date and I'll hook you up.
OK, thanks! I really appreciate it. I'll try to find out which one it was.
Speaking of lazy, does anybody know what ish it was off the top of your head? As I said, I don't own it any more.
Actually I'd go through my issue archives but I'm booted into the PC partition and all the magazine stuff is on the Mac side. If no one comes up with it I'll check in the morning.

I DID. Bought a big new PC this summer for iRacing and to fulfill the "obvious" need for a PC in the office. It ended up unused in the storeroom.

Capt., maybe, but I doubt it. There's some logistical issues with posting that one.
If it's any consolation, I did post the infamous Minivan vs. 60s Classics story today, though.
