Thousand Oaks to San Diego. Should have the deal wrapped today unless they sold this one out from under me. It was "Chea" and had a ton of modifications. They could not take the deposit last night as it was to late.

Figured I should update this. Wow was that a debacle. Two cars failed inspection due to improper repairs, a third was stuck in the Hurricane and I could not get my hands on it. 

Then like a bolt out of the blue I get a call from a friend that he looked at one up north in Concord. Need tires but had a serious stereo in it and was super low mile and the owner was someone on the prowler board I knew who had passed a few years back and it was traded in by his wife. 

Passed inspection and wire transfer was sent up will be here in a week or so depending on truck schedules. 

It is a Mulholland Blue on slate car so I will more then likely do a wrap on it at home to test out some of the new color shift 3M that is now on the market.

That blue looks deeeeep.

Orange. There are 100 red sports cars. Drive an orange one and it gets remembered. 

The Mullholland Blue cars were another 1500-2500$ and that was just for the paint job and the slightly different top fabric. It was hand painted and rubbed at the factory then pinstriped. 

Biggest thing is the 2001 gets the better transmission toque converter, the all aluminum engine, koni shocks with softer springs, the better tire pressure sensors and the computer in the rear view mirror. It has original run flat tires on it from 2001 that I have been told are as hard as a rock. Not sure if it will be trouble to get them off due to it though. 

I only have a few photos of the stereo but I need to upload them to imgur before I post them. Its an older installation but I cannot wait to pull it apart and see what components are actually installed. I got some photos from the forum about what it looked like going in and they were impressive in that late 2000's component way. 

It will be my daily as the STI is going to a friend who is taking over the payments. No more stick in traffic for me ever again. 

So how are they to drive? Fun in the back canyon roads? Does the V6 make nice noises?

Wrapping to protect yeas, might do a contracting hood and trunk in something fun at the same time. Been practicing my wrapping skills. 

They are also seriously fun to drive they weight ~2800lb's. They make about 250/250/. They have no ABS, no TC no anything really. Do to the tires you can throw them into a corner at surprising speed as well and it will stick.   

Just showed up, really good condition in every single area except the tires which I knew about and a check engine light.

P0601 ECU failure. Luckly they gave me a 45 day warrenty so that will be put to good use. They are 1600-3000$ a piece right now, no know repair on the Prowlers for that error except a replacement.

Loose ECU /injector ground cable and a battery at 10.9 or so. Ran it through its cycles after fixing that and its OK now.

I saw the title to this thread and I said "blue."

BRG is the only color when a choice is needed IMHO.

In your case if resale is the idea, red, If one you want to look at and keep saying damn that looks amazing, orange.

No. In this case, blue is the correct choice.  Prowler buyers know the color is special and will pay accordingl.

Well chased every single ground cable and found another loose one.  Greased the joints and ordered tires that will be here next week.

forgot how much fun they are with the top down. Polishing out the paint now a bit more then I need to swap the head unit out for a 1.5 din and then I am going to call it a day.
