Virgil's is a SERIOUS root beer.
Also Cheerwine is the best drink available in 20oz plastic soda bottle.
Maine Root ginger beer also goes a long way. Although, it may be too sweet for some ginger aficionados. Reed's is an acceptable, albeit watered down alternative.
I wish I could find a Ginger Beer--or at least a decent Ginger Ale--around here. I've been hankering for a Moscow Mule.

Of course Barritts is the best but since it is so hard to find Goslings now sell their own to go with their Goslings Dark Rum. Stop into a large Alcohol retailer and see if they can order Goslings GB for you.
