I take it Hoppy Holidays Ale is out then?
Weihnachtsbrau, Die Flote (picture the brewery name in bthe middle of those last two words)
Weihnachts, or some variation thereof would be good.
Don't want to use "Hoppy" in the title because this beer will not give the impression of being especially hoppy, especially not compared to what a lot of other local guys are doing.
I actually have something else in mind for "Flote". We're planning to do something at the bar in collaboration with Jeni's Ice Cream. I really want to use the opportunity to make a "Zauber Float" pun.
Hence my original gaff, Wienacht Havanuther. Pronounced "Why Not have another?"
Whatever the name bs sure to let us know when it is ready. We need to do another Beer night one of these day.
Okay... we just had a big meeting about some of the buzz that is going to surround this beer.
The basic beer will be "Wintern". There is a test batch on now (probably sell out by the end of this weekend), the final batch will be released Nov 13.
BUT, we are going to have a big event on Nov 11 where we pull a portion of the base beer for aging in bourbon barrels. We're doing this in collaboration with Middlewest Spirits and the Whiskey Barrel Society. This event is going to be huge. We anticipate it selling out quickly. The barrel aged version will be released next holiday season as "Uber Wintern".
Würziger would have been funny to hear people try to pronounce.
