Yay for you. I love seeing fellow GRMers make their way up the ladder. This goes well with Shopcraft as Soulcraft that I'm reading currently. Degrees don't mean much about a person's ability. Intelligence and drive are what keep moving someone forward/upward.
Them changing the requirements sure seem to be aimed directly at you. Obviously they see something in you that they want to keep and let prosper.

Well the interesting and positive part is only one of the people I have to interview with on round 2 really matters (my boss' boss) He's the one that when I interviewed for the job I have now told me I'd never be allowed to advance at the company without a degree. He's also the one who rewrote the job description to de-emphasize the degree requirement. I think my odds are good.
