I travel every couple of months for work, and I like to find specific hotel things. Last time, December, I found a natural language AI search. I could type "Find me a hotel in anyplace, US with excellent showers, great room service, and clear rooms close to the airport" and it would spit out results which were based on scouring the hotel websites and also review terms. Then you could say "which one of these have the best cocktail lounge" or whatever, and it would narrow it down.

I can't find it. It had a weird techy name Is it gone forever? Bought by Expedia?

Let me know if you know, or can help find it.

I'm not terribly interested in this thread turning into a "the other side sucks" AI debate.

Thanks

Have you tried booking.com? I used them for a last minute hotel room and it had some of the similar things for searching.

I don't know if its AI or algorithm based tho, I was needing a hotel for three nights starting the Thursday night and I learned the guy who was 'getting it looked after' was in fact, not, on Tuesday afternoon.

They have an app, a points system, seems to remember your searches and will email you about them in the future as well as deals etc.

The handle everything, hotels, car rentals, flights.

No but I think I saw it when I was playing with that site. I do see some which say they are a plug-in on chatgpt, but I don't know how that works. Perhaps the one I used was purchased.

I used Bing AI (which I think is a fork/different implementation of chatGPT) to do some fairly complicated searches while traveling.  "Find me wineries withing 20 minutes drive of Evora Portugal that will be open for visits this Thursday" and it did a bangup job.  I always confirm the answer since AI lies confidently, but it gave good answers for this and a bunch of other queries.

I've not used it before but after a few minutes of using it, it's almost identical to what I used before. I wonder if they bought it. Either way, thanks!
