was looking for a birthday gift for a friend at the local wally world and looked at the hotwheels/matchbox aisle.
found these gems
thought there might be other collectors who would want the heads up..
I only collect more eclectic grm type cars and race cars these days and was excited to find these
I love that datsun. I've only seen two of these and I have both, I could only find this one picture on google. I guess they're rare, no idea on value and I don't care because I won't sell.
I'm at a point wher the question is hot wheels or model cars, seeing as all I can do for now is keep the real thing on the road and DD-able.
if you want to go into cool ones in your collection...
and another shelby 2 car that has a series 1 and a cobra in it.
I could go on and on and on..
caddie LMP
ferrari 330 P4
those are just the special editions and a handful of them....
yeah, i have a large collection, lol
I have kinda gotten to the point where i am narrowing what i buy to what i really really like. (and almost no special edition collectables that are specially boxed anymore, i would rather put money into my 1/1 scale )
I'm still searching for the elusive Fox body Mustang. I've never seen one. Ever.
But I love that little black Datsun.
And that 1970 Boss Mustang.
eliminator > every other hotwheel ever!

i have a '79 pace car from johnny lightening, and I remember seeing a 87-93 one at some point.. (although if i have that one i dont know where it is right now)
and i have to admit that i removed the boss from the box some years ago.. (although its still in perfect shape)...
i have a bunch.. i need to get them organized to display someday..
Johnny Lightning made a ton of fox-body Mustangs.
That 33/34 Ford Hot Wheels is a ZZ-Top clone car and common actually. I had a couple back when I "collected".
Now I just buy whatever I really like and I open it and play with them! I stick mostly to 1/18th scale stuff but I do still collect any Ferrari or AMC plus some eclectic stuff. I picked up a couple of 1/43rd scale P71's at the swap meet (a dark blue one I can modify to look like mine and a Super Troopers one).
I like models mostly though, much more fun!
For some reason, I gravitate to Mopar offerings. Hot Wheels had a sweet Super Bee in white, silver, yellow, and red.
Yesterday, I picked up the Batmobile. The Adam West one.
