It's amazing in a lot of coastal areas how often the disposal plan is cut the dock lines and walk away. There are more than a couple coves full of washed up old sailboats and crap. But lord help you if the law or the EPA figures out who it belonged to.
Too bad you're not closer to me, I'd say get something cool looking on a nice trailer and abandon the boat at my house. I'm thinking about building a playground this year and think a big boat would be neat as a part of it.
The only wood boat I'd want is an Adirondack Guide Boat.
