So after making a mess trying to pull up the sheet vinyl, I had to air hammer all the vinyl tiles and put in real tile in the floor.
That was a nice improvement. But otherwise, this bathroom is a blank canvas. Clearly I need to spruce it up, this is the bathroom R/C racers will use when eventually we get to race. Any ideas? Mine was to put a black/white checkerboard on one wall, and put some racecar photos on the others, but there must be some better ideas or examples for inspiration.
That wall above the FRP needs black and white checkerboard VCT
I don't know... stand it upright?
Do you perchance have an old toolbox cabinet that isn't in service anymore? Spruce it up, cut out for the drain, and put it under the sink as a storage cabinet.
At our old shop in L.A. we cut the face off of an old box, welded the drawer fronts back on, and mounted it on the wall beside the toilet. We put the toilet paper holder on the face. Just for looks. The wall was just empty. It made the bathroom look like a miniature shop.
Hang a tire/wheel on the wall? Maybe a shelf with some antique oil/wax/coolant cans like an old service station?
Tire tread anti microbial pad to stand on while using the toilet.
Transmission or parts cleaner sink
Air gun to dry hands
Tile the walls

Now everyone at work is wondering what I'm laughing about.
Better? lol
I have been looking for old toolboxes, people are very proud of them, not tag sales going on right now..
Get a bunch of old repair manuals and use the pages as wallpaper/decoration.
Flowmaster trash can?
checkered flags on either side of the mirror (or any other racetrack appropriate flags)

Great idea, get some use ot of those old transmission repair manuals!
Going to make a sink cabinet out of diamond plate. Don't want to spend over $50. need like 3ft x 4ft
Looking at CL for some used junk, but everyone is proud of their diamond plate just like old tool cabinets.
Any ideas on where to find some diamond plate cheap, or fake it?
To me any racetrack bathroom where you don't wiz against the wall like you do at Lime Rock is pretty fancy.
You can also get CF vinyl wrap that could look good on walls or other pieces and since they are vinyl it shouldn't be too bad to keep clean or replace if damaged.
Has anyone used that vinyl diamond plate? I'm concerned it will look bad/fake. It might be easier to fake a tool cabinet with red paint and silver drawers.
Decoupage car posters on the walls (or just one), easier to wipe it down.

Wallpaper it with Tamiya assembly manuals. Or old copies of Tower Hobbies catalogs. The older, the better.
Mural of a pit crew, from the driver's point of view?
For wallpaper, you could also blow up car diagrams and make posters. I did that for a buddy years ago. Took cutaway drawing from a Bugeye Sprite manual and scanned and blew it into a larger poster.
You could take a car door and remove the insides so it's just the outside skin and put a mirror where the window would be an hang that on the wall.
Heck, a black and white checkerboard floor, new paint with red accent/racing stripe would spruce it up and be fairly inexpensive.

Bonus points if you can rig up a motion sensor stopwatch display to start counting when they step in front of the toilet.
