I had an App on my phone to manage all of my loyalty cards. It worked great, it was cheap and I never had an issue with it. Because it worked well, a lot of people used it. Then LifeLock bought it. Suddenly, I am barraged by offers and ads from LifeLock asking me to sign up for their services, promising to "secure and protect" my data. After a few weeks, LifeLock announces that it has been hacked and that they deleted all of my data and shut down the app. After that display of their complete lack of security, they keep sending me notices asking to sign up. Not bloody likely, and thanks for ruining my App!

Then one of my financial Apps get bought by Intuit, and it is now ruined. And then another announces that it was bought by Yahoo, and Yahoo has decided to re-assign the developers and shut down the App. Arrrggghhh!

I wish big corporations would continue to support Apps after they buy them! Or developers would refuse the money waved in their face and try to be the next Sergy Brin or Elon Musk!

Lifelock is a berkeleying joke, they've been squished by the US government so many times, but they keep on surviving like a nasty bug with a really tough shell.

As for for app sellouts, that's just a thing you have to deal with when you're using proprietary software...

Wait, people actually buy apps? I'm all free apps, all the time. If it cost money, I generally lose interest.

isn't lifelock the company that put the owner's Social Security number on a truck and drove it around NYC daring people to try to use it for fraudulent deeds?

and they can't even secure an app?
