This is the first year my wife has joined me in watching all the F1 races, and she has really gotten into it. She has always like it to a degree. Loved to watch Monaco, and had a good understanding of who the drivers were and what team they raced for. But this year we have sat down together to watch every race. I could probably just stop right there. However, yesterday we were watching the China GP, and Hobbs starts in on his usual, "Button is great at preserving tires" spiel. Immediately my wife says, "Yeah, yeah. We know. Button is the tire whisperer."
I about fell over.
My Amanda watches every event with me. I took her to the USGP in 2007, and ever since, she has been a fan.
We were almost on a plane Wednesday to Monaco. If not for some emergency trips we had to take in March in April.
It would have been a suprise, and would have given us 3 of the 4 original GP tracks that are still being run. And the 3 current oldest- she loved Spa and Monza. Just need Monaco and Silverstone to round it out.
Ines was a little more angry yesterday- thought that Ferrari was a bunch of fools who's strategy cost Alonso a win. When I told her that he's signed with them until 2016, well.....

In the words of One Republic, "It's too late to polish eyes."
No worries man, it was a good race though!

It was the damn tires. They weren't going to win without a fresh set, but if they hadn't reacted to Red Bull AGAIN and run their own race, they probably would have finished Alonso a bit higher than 5th.
His car was desperately slow on the hards though...Webbo just blew past him.

Well, I did remind her that Ferrari strategy cost him the championship last year, too....
(I'm not a Ferrari fan, and she is only due to Fernando)
I think you guys realise how fortunate you are or you wouldn't have posted on this thread. My first and now my second wife can't stand to watch racing.
However, I invited my first wife to drive my MGB autocross car and she really got into it. She'd make a run and come back and ask how she could go faster. She'd listen to me and immediately go apply it. She got so good that she beat my time @ one event. I had to suffer the ridicule from the males there who loudly anounced to to the crowd but I was really proud of her. My second wife and I went to Gulf shores on our honeymoon. We went to the big amusement park and I talked her into trying out the go karts. She didn't want to but I made sure she went out in front of me so I could watch her at first. I finally decided to pass her and started looking back and motioning for her to come on. She had on a short skirt and was holding it down to keep it from blowing up. It didn't take her long to let go of the skirt, put her head down, and started trying to pass me. Everyone in the place knew she was wearing white panties but she sure did enjoy it. Hmmm., maybe I need another autocross car . . .
Oh I had one alright, and the pictures are still in good shape. Only problem is that it has no usb port . . . and even if it did if I posted them I'd get in big trouble. She still laughs about it though.
