This guy is a blatant criminal who is taking advantage of both the poverty of the people taking his loans and the poverty of the tribes that he is operating through to funnel piles of cash to himself in direct contradiction of state and federal laws. And you're going to cheer him for it? Whatever happened to people looking out for each other, and bringing shame upon those who don't?

I'm not cheering him for it at all, but I think people should be allowed to make their own bad decisions.

Looking out for one another (to me) means loaning my neighbor 100 bucks or sharing dinner; not chasing after someone who's doing something that I think is wrong or immoral.

There are things that I may or may not do that some would consider wrong or immoral, but that's between me, my family, an unnamed higher power.

-edit- If I see/meet Scott Tucker at the Petit Le Mans this weekend, I swear to God that I'll ask him about it and invite him to defend himself on this very message board.

Having been as poor as you can get I know first hand that indeed it is the poors fault they are poor. They made bad choices in life be it flunking school or being a drug addict. I don't feel bad for the poor and never will. I will be more than helpful to the poor who really want to work their way out of poverty.

Dont be a dick. I know that A MAJORITY of poor people live they way they do because of their decisions. I agree completely. BUUUUT, in a down economy, there is always the propensity for good and decent people to be reduced to poverty due to forces beyond their control. I will digress and say I believe that how long they stay there is their decision.

regarless of how you feel about people who seem forced or make bad decistions, laws in many states are being broken.

Real laws that are in real books.

Broken.

It will happen. (The invitation at least, assuming he's not sequestered in a camper the entire time.)

Seriously, I'm not defending the guy's actions but I don't (usually) like internet vigilantism. Bob Costas is a joke, Tucker may be a genuine bad guy. If he deserves bad treatment, it should be doled out in the flesh by someone with robes and a wig.

He IS an ex-con, and he's doing quite a bit to hide his involvement in the stuff mentioned in both articles. And the campaign contributions are very shady as well.
