While pulling out of xlr99's driveway after dropping off his son's new possible $2017 challenge project car, I simultaneously received text from Stampie and speaker phone call from Andrew and Calvin Nelson.
Beat that.

Ive met two GRMers and I think Ive talked to two others on the phone. One was Keith as I called FM for help and probably sounded like a teenage girl... "I have one of your books-and I am on GRM too!" Lol.

I made Aussie sleep on a cot after making him sleep in the back seat of a Ram 2500 for 1200 miles.
I'm working on a GRM time machine so that I can take a project back in time to compete in the challenge knowing what times I need to beat. Early test have been successful with a few minors glitches.
1) inflation ducks 2) email correspondence from 2017 doesn't appear on 2003 servers, and print outs of correspondence and sale sheets from 2017 carry no weight in 2003 3) nobody believes that you got an LS motor for $800 in 2003 4) the machine isn't big enough to transport the actual car, now I know why Marty made the machine an actual car.
I put together my own "suspension package" because nothing exists for my car in terms of springs. Shocks, springs, and polyurethane bushings for the rear sway bar all cost less than $125 Canadian.
My daily is under challenge budget.
I found out a glasspack was $47, so I bought $12 worth of pipe, $3 worth of hockey pucks, $2 worth of really coarse steel wool, and made something that was both slimmer and droned less. Sadly, I've since changed my setup to something more sedate.
I have 4 cars, in as many states, two in the possession of other grmers. Two of the 4 also purchased from other grmers. And I've ridden in sf1s jeep.
I own a C6 Z51 Vette, an FFR Type 65 Coupe, an SN95 Mustang with a stroker Windsor in it, and a Honda CB750 Nighthawk. I have not paid over 10 grand for any of these things and only the Nighthawk is drivable.
Oh and I once with the help of MCarp22 introduced AngryCorvair to Nashville Hot Chicken... so hows that rank?
I own an answer and 2 P71s, one of which another member is supposed to be buying. That's 2/3 of the GRM trinity as far as i can tell. My current daily driver is also my challenge car for $2017, and just turned 230k miles.
I've convinced myself that driving 1,200 miles to buy a $200 non-running project car is perfectly acceptable.
Well let's see, I talk to a few personally on the phone on a regular basis. I've personally met several GRMers outside of GRM events. I set up the 2016 Midwest GRMer Meetup. I've been to a few GRMers houses and stayed overnight at at least two of them. I have a GRMers car residing in my driveway. I also play Xbox with several GRMers.
I am making a point to meet up with as many regulars as possible while I travel the country.
I've sold cars to 5 GRMers that I remember offhand. I also helped nocones instal the trans in his rotary Midget way back around '01-ish. Does that make me OGGRM?
This is about to devolve into a "I'm Rick James BITCH!" thread.
I owned the original www.eVilallianceracing.com web page.

Car has been featured in the "Reader's Ride" section

I proposed to my Wife after she won her class in Formula Ford at Texas World Speedway
I remember Tommy getting his first kart for autocross. I just read about it in magazine, but still.
Vigo and I have bought cars from each other.
I fed paranoidandroid pancakes to fuel him up for a day of helping -_())/- (how do you make that thing) rally on the weekend he proposed.
