Been using it quite often. Some cool old cars like a brick of a Euro AMG. eamonn.mckeown I think is my handle.
I post as @petrol360 some of my RX7 and other projects I have going on, but a lot of other peoples cars from our local drift event ect. And now that I know about #GRMphoto I will be using it all the time!
Oh, there IS a thread on this.
@eloelcooter - a bunch of my many different old falling apart DDs, Road Trips, and automotive stuff I find interesting as I try to figure out how to take a decent photo.
That’s me, unfortunately they say I can’t prove it was my account and the reset email goes to some .ru address. You mind reporting it over and over?
In reply to chandler :
Not a problem. The only reason I didn't in the first place was because I didn't want it shut down if there was a chance of you getting your account back.
I got an email from instagram a few months back that my password had been changed. It was a .ru address as well. I clicked the button that confirmed I had not made the change and reset my password. Did someone hack your email too?
I got a blackmail/extortion threatening email twice this week with the email address I use here and the actual password I use here too. I changed the PW. Some forum I've been on in the last 10 years must have got hacked.
I never saw that email but a few people said they got it. I don’t really care enough to chase it down so I asked everyone to just report it and I’ll be done with instagram.
Mine is me same user name as here. Pretty much if you see this user name online it's me.
Mostly mine is odd stuff from my travels, race cars from the races I work, and nature stuff from my trail adventures.
Oh and David, Thanks for reminding me all weekend that I was moving and not at Rennsport like I was supposed to be :)
The whole thing still aggravates me though.
It is blatantly obvious from your image feed that you were hacked. From random automotive stuff every once in a while to 8 photos of scantily clad women with vapid expressions posted in about an hour.
In reply to chandler :
Hopefully you will get access to the account back. I reported all of the hack-posted photos and like Cooter said, it's pretty dang obvious when your account was hacked.
I had a weird situation where one of "my" hashtags was reported as being in violation of community guidelines #GRMbakers. I say my hashtag because I appear to be the only one using it so far. It's nothing but pics of breads I have made so I have no idea why it was reported. I contacted instagram to state my case an in about a week it was back up.
I don't want the russian hackers to win this one!

Sorry about that. That reminds me that I should go and post a few more Rennsport pics.

Don't share passwords across accounts. Get a password manager and use it. That way, when one of your accounts is compromised you don't give them access to your others. It's tempting to use the same easy-to-remember password but it's like using the same key for your house, your car, your office and your gun safe and handing out copies to everyone who comes to visit.
As for IG - I've stopped using it as much at work because it's a royal pain. I take pictures with a real camera, then edit them and compose text. Send myself an email, copy the text from it and use that to post to IG. I have to remember to use the IG app to look for contact attempts and I'm just not on my phone all the time when I'm at work. Compare that to FB where I can easily post and take part in the conversations from my desktop. IG definitely gets more likes faster and if my job was full time social media manager for a company building aesthetically-driven fabrication porn instead of a guy who wears a lot of hats at a shop that designs and sells technically driven parts, I'd spend more time on it. But the ROI is weak due to the mobile-only interface.
I don't use IG personally as either a producer or consumer, but my wife loves to use it to stalk celebrities and race drivers.
I am @10mm_nut over on IG. I post mainly car stuff, but there might be enough bicycle stuff to annoy some folks.
You'll need to log in to post.
