All the dust has settled, Copart has our baby, insurance check finally posted, we gave the rental back last Saturday, and last night I drove home a '14 TDI Sportwagen.

I've wanted a Sportwagen for a while, but this is not the way I wanted to go about getting one.

Thanks for those who offered advice, and condolences! Silly to be that attached to a car, but if anyone could understand it's this lot.
