So, my sense of style is fairly firmly rooted in Mid-Century Modern, although it takes little detours into Art Deco, Industrial, and other semi-adjacent areas.  That being said, I'm trying to find some vintage lighting and fans for the garage and my WFH office.

Proper vintage is always the best, but does anyone have any sort of line on anything that looks like these?

The office fan is a lot easier to find, although I want one with brass blades.  For it, just picture this scene:

The garage fan needs to be much beefier though.  Maybe an attic fan?

What's wrong with the lights you linked?

Also, I think crankshaft lamps (with the correct shade) fit mid century modern pretty well.

In reply to ProDarwin :

I'd like at least one more bar of articulation in the lamps for the shop, but the office would likely work for those.  Generally the concern is that those are going to jump up to about $200 per lamp from what I've seen in the past.  I've got them on my watchlist though

Also, if someone on here has one collecting dust, I'd prefer to give money to a GRM member rather than someone on eBay

So, I found a couple of these at one of my local antique stores. Wiring was crap so I got 'em cheap enough to suit me. Then I started printing bits to modify them and allow me to adjust them without digging for a wrench.
I need to strip these of paint and then redo the wiring, but I'm happy with the mods so far.  One day I'll turn real knobs out of aluminum for them.

So, ya'll know what that sad pale industrial green color is? The one every desk and chair from the 50s was painted?
I want that for the metal parts, but a "happy" version of it. I think I have the color I want.

My concern is finding a complementary color for the knobs. I'd go with a cream color, but they are going to get dirty with my hands, so I'm not in love with a pale color. Anyone have any ideas?

The green I'm talking about

In reply to Mr_Asa :

Hammered green

Gloss off white or gloss almond in the knobs. Pastel orange if you want it to pop.

I always forget how much I like brazing.  The end knobs needed stabilization cause in their 70 year lifespan they'd somehow worked loose.  Such shoddy workmanship.

Major kudos to Dad, he recommended chrome/silver paint for the inside of the shade to reflect more light.  Not sure if it is going to reflect more light, but I can see my ugly mug in it
