The furry kind, but it still sucks. We had a good twelve years and I wish it could have been longer.
RIP, Rascal.
Please remember to hug and pet our pals; they deserve it for putting up with us.

Thanks, everyone.
He had been ill with a hyper thyroid condition that came on pretty damn fast. Medication didn't kick-in soon enough and he didn't wake-up this morning.
That was bad, but dropping him off at the vet's (for the last time) this morning - ughhh.
I am such a wuss, this day is the day that makes me afraid to get a cat. I had a really cool cat at my old job that was our warehouse cat, "Meow Meow". She was 16 when she had to be put down. She was doing really odd things, hiding in weird places, and wouldn't eat.
She was deaf and could barely jump but would climb a wooden ladder straight up to get on the upper shelves. Since she couldn't jump very well, she would come to my desk and sit next to my chair and meow until I would pick her up and put her in my lap or let her walk around on my desk. Man, I miss her.
Sorry for your loss.
My Mum just put her cat to sleep just a week ago or so. We had her for about 10 years. She was the "killer", would bring back squirrels and birds and chipmunks. She got hit by a car 5 years ago and limped her way home. Since then, she was a lap cat. She began breathing harder and wouldn't eat her food. Vet said her liver was shutting down. My Mum was completely torn up about her. Do miss her.
Very sorry for your cat
I'm sorry, man. Pets are one of the few sources of continual unconditional love that most of us will ever have. Loosing that sucks.

This. I've many cats over the years and I know how much it hurts to loose them. They (well any pet really) are just as much family as my 2 year old.
About ten years ago I was working as a tech at the local Mazda dealer. I got a call from my mom and she told me that Watson had passed away. He was 16 years old and I found him behind our house when he was a kitten. I just sat down in my bay and cried.
I'm sorry for your loss :(
BTDT ... doesn't make it any easier to know that others have gone through what you are ...
sorry for your loss
Yep, had many cats over the decades. One lasted 19 years, some I was just getting to really know. It is always a shame.
Currently have 4 of the little furry vermin, ranging from about 6 months to 12 or 13 years.
My sincere condolences.
Sorry for your loss.
Love isn't free—you pay it back at the end, but you're never poorer for the transaction.
A cat on its back with stomach exposed is the sign that its in a kind, loving and trusted home.
Sorry for your loss.
Yep, always thought it was cute when my cat slept like that. She'd find a sunny spot, roll over and fall asleep with all 4 feet stuck up in the air. When the family broke up after high school, no one could take her. Luckily a family friend took her in. Still miss her 20 years later.
Cats rule, dogs drool.
Sorry for your loss.
Nothing is worse than losing your best friend.
Sorry for your loss. Remember the good times you had with him.

I still cry over my cat weezer sometimes. She was the weirdest, awesomest cat ever.
My condolences.
Joey

Both of my gals do this.
As they get older, I try to enjoy the time I spend with them and give them plenty of love/affection/attention. They deserve to know they're important to me.
Sorry for your loss, oldsaw. I know I'm gonna be inconsolable when mine go.
This isn't about cats but it is about pet love.
Sorry to hear about your buddy Old Saw. I'm sure he had a great life because of you.

Was just going to post this. I'm not much of a emotional kind of guy, but my sister has a retarded E36 M3zu that isn't so bad. I call him retard, because, well, he's retarded, but at least he is quiet and not jumpy-on. It'll be a slightly sad day to see him go.
