Well, The last month has been really busy for me with cars coming and going all thanks to the help of GRM.

So first came the purchase of Evan's Integra. I bought it as a car to sit at my 2nd property up in Nebraska. I usually spend a good part of the summer up there to be closer to family. Now I can just fly up and not have to worry about having a 12ish hour drive each time I go there. I just actually got to drive it last week when I flew home and I loved it. Reminded me of my old integras. It's a great drive.

Then, I sold off the family Barracuda and that went down to Florida for it's retirement. I wasn't moving the car forward and didn't just want to watch it rot any more so I moved it along and was happy when it sold quick and found a good home.

The last one was completely a surprise as I wasn't expecting to buy another car but got a car came up that I've always wanted and the price was right. When Kieth posted up one of the NB Haku V8 cars for sale, I made the joke that thank god all of the Haku's for sales recently have been NB's so my wallet's safe. Well, Kieth let me know that Flyin Miata was looking to sell Atomic Betty, their 1st V8 NC. I knew the car from the press articles and It's my favorite color and setup exactly as I would have ordered it anyways. So I just put a deposit on it and working to get the car back to Texas by my birthday.

So a really busy month this cars coming and going but I'm so excited with the new additions to the fleet.

In reply to dculberson:

Yeah it is. That was one of the reasons I jumped on it so quickly. I loved the color combo and I wanted a driver and not just a track car so all of the options make it very livable day to day. If I were to build it myself, I honestly don't think I'd change a thing except the shift knob because metal shift knob and TX summers do not go well together but that is such a minor detail.

Sweet! I loved that car when I drove it. You're going to have a blast with it.

Fun fact: see that reflection under the left headlight? That's my Trooper. I think that's seven degrees of separation or something like that.

Pics of integra?

Here is the integra. I forgot to take photos when I was up there. This is from Evan's ad. When I put the buffer to it, it shined up nicely.

I'm glad it did, because I felt like it would. I'm not at all a paint/detail specialist, but I took some polishing compound to the trunk lid and that general area, and the paint came up nicely. Hand polishing is very hard work, so I stopped there :)

I love calling people's bluffs You saved me a bunch of work having to put it up for sale, too. You'll like her, she's a sweetheart.

That was a great buy. I would have bought it, but getting it home made it not such a great deal.

Yeah Evan, I have a nice Porter Cable setup that made it easy. I just pulled it into the barn and spent 2 hours on it and really it looked close to new from the paint prospective. I'll have that one for a while I think with the overall condition of everything.

I probably had 3x that much time into the trunk lid alone... which is why I said that hand-polishing blows.

Also, I'm not surprised it looks almost new. I'm fairly certain the PO kept it garaged when not driving the average 4600 miles/year.
